Used 2025 Hyundai Kona for Sale near North Carolina

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Kona cost?

Prices have softened 15.52% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 714 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Kona earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for used shoppers. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its modern design, tech features, and comfortable ride. The wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and touchscreen radio come up repeatedly as standout positives, along with the Kona’s practical, roomy feel.

The main trade-offs are its fairly pedestrian performance and a design that may not suit everyone. That said, the overview frames it as a small SUV for everyday usefulness, cargo space, and a solid feature set, which fits shoppers who value practicality over excitement.

Only 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful comparison.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers describing the Kona as a vehicle they can count on for daily use. The expert assessment also supports that impression by highlighting the model’s solid, well-rounded package and its reassuring warranty coverage.

Hyundai’s five-year or 100,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty adds another layer of confidence for used buyers. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about reliability and more about choosing the right trim and condition so you get the features you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Essential, Preferred, and N Line trims differ meaningfully in appearance and equipment. Base models are simpler, while the Preferred adds more visual polish, and the N Line brings sportier styling plus larger wheels. If you want a sunroof or powered liftgate, you’ll need the Preferred with the Trend package or the N Line.
• Powertrain: The Essential and Preferred use a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder with an IVT, which favours efficiency over punch. The N Line upgrades to a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic, giving you stronger performance.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Warning. Preferred adds enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning and door opening detection, while the N Line with the Ultimate package adds Highway Driving Assist and Blind Spot View Monitor.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. Higher trims add wireless charging, Hyundai’s digital key, and, on the N Line with the Ultimate package, built-in navigation and a full digital instrument cluster.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD 2.0-litre base engine is rated at 7.5 litres per 100 kilometres combined. AWD raises that figure by 1.0 L/100 km, and the turbocharged N Line is rated at 9.0 L/100 km combined with standard AWD.

Which 2025 Hyundai Kona trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona is offered in 3 trim levels: Essential, Preferred, and N Line.

Here's the short version:

• Essential: This is the value-focused starting point if you want the Kona’s roomy cabin, standard 12.3-inch touchscreen, and full safety suite without paying for extras you may not need. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without premium convenience features.
• Preferred: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience without jumping to the top of the range. If you want the strongest balance of equipment and price, this is the one to target.
• N Line: Choose this if you want the most powerful gas powertrain, standard AWD, a more upscale digital cockpit, and sportier styling. It suits you best if you care more about features and performance than keeping the purchase price down.

Even the base trim gets the core safety package, while higher trims add more advanced driver assistance and convenience tech.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 714 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.52% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,571 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $29,571 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,002 CAD.

That softer pricing can be good news if you’re buying now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays cool. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on trim, mileage, and condition rather than broad market appreciation.

The Kona’s strong feature set and broad appeal should help it remain competitive with used shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over a well-regarded package with strong safety and tech.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,291 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $29,571 CAD average.
• It brings a fresh redesign with new tech and broad appeal.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds more interior room and a more accommodating cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current-market pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and a well-equipped package, the 2025 is the safest all-around pick. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better value path.
