Used 2025 Hyundai Kona for Sale nearGrimsby, ON

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Kona cost?

Prices have softened 13.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 635 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Kona earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its modern design, tech features, and comfortable ride, and they especially like the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto plus the touchscreen radio. It also stands out for its spacious cabin and plenty of cargo space, which make it a practical small crossover for everyday use.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and some drivers want better interior materials and a power-adjustable passenger seat. That said, the Kona’s mix of space, tech, and comfort fits well if you want a well-equipped subcompact SUV rather than a sporty one.

With 33.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the Kona as a vehicle they can count on over the long term. The expert assessment also supports that impression by describing Hyundai’s safety and equipment strategy as thorough and easy to live with.

Hyundai’s warranty coverage adds another layer of reassurance for used buyers, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle for several years. Even so, you should still check service records and overall condition carefully, since long-term ownership risk always depends on how the previous owner maintained the vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Essential trim is the most basic version, while Preferred adds more visual polish and larger wheels, and N Line brings sportier styling with body-coloured bumpers and cladding. Base-trim shoppers should note that a sunroof and powered liftgate require either the Trend package on Preferred or the N Line.
• Powertrain: The Essential and Preferred trims use a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, paired with an IVT. The N Line upgrades to a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder with 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque and an eight-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Warning. Preferred adds enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning and door opening detection, while the N Line with the Ultimate package adds Highway Driving Assist and Blind Spot View Monitor.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. Preferred with the Trend package and the N Line also add wireless smartphone charging and Hyundai’s digital key, while over-the-air updates are supported across the lineup.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD 2.0-litre engine is rated at 7.5 L/100 km combined, while AWD increases that figure by 1 L/100 km. The turbocharged N Line is rated at 9.0 L/100 km combined with AWD.

Which 2025 Hyundai Kona trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona is offered in 3 trim levels: Essential, Preferred, and N Line.

Here's the short version:

• Essential: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and still want the Kona’s core strengths: a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and a strong standard safety suite. It makes the most sense if you care more about practicality than extra comfort or style features.
• Preferred: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more polish without pushing the price too far. If you want the sweet spot between equipment and cost, this is the one to focus on, especially if you plan to add the Trend package for features like a power sunroof, digital key, leatherette upholstery, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, and a power liftgate.
• N Line: Choose this if you want the most powerful gas engine, standard AWD, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and the sportier appearance package. It also unlocks more available tech, including the Ultimate package with premium audio, navigation, and advanced parking aids.

All Konas come with a strong standard safety package, and the N Line with the Ultimate package adds the most advanced driver-assistance and parking features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to compare and some room to negotiate.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 635 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,912 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $29,923 CAD sits slightly below last year's $34,525 CAD.

That price drop suggests the Kona is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can work against a seller trying to maximise return. If you buy now, you may be entering at a more favourable point in the cycle than previous shoppers did.

For future resale, the key question is whether the market continues to value the Kona’s strong equipment list and practical packaging. Models with desirable trims, clean history, and strong condition should hold up better than stripped examples, especially if demand stays steady in the subcompact SUV segment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Warning. All Konas also include six airbags, electronic stability control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Preferred adds enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning and door opening detection, while the N Line with the Ultimate package adds Highway Driving Assist, Blind Spot View Monitor, Parking Distance Warning, Surround View Monitor, and Remote Smart Parking Assist. The base setup is already strong, but some of the more advanced convenience and parking features remain trim-dependent.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the second-generation Kona’s roomy cabin, standard safety tech, and wireless smartphone integration.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,783 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $29,923 CAD average.
• It debuted as an all-new generation with fresh styling, new technology, and a strong equipment list.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and the same well-rounded package of space, tech, and safety. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better value path, especially if you find one in good condition with the equipment you want.
