Used 2025 Honda Pilot for Sale nearKingston, ON

How much does the 2025 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 13.52% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 157 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Honda Pilot earns a 4.91/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise the roomy interior, smooth ride, and generous cargo space. They also like the comfortable seating and the reassuring sense of security that comes from the Pilot’s safety reputation. On the flip side, some owners wish the dash screen were larger and would like more luxury features in the lower trims.

That lines up with the Pilot’s use case as a practical three-row SUV for daily driving and family duty. It is easy to live with, especially if you value space and straightforward usability over flash.

The market also shows 25.5% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.91/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers repeatedly highlighting the Pilot’s comfortable, secure feel and family-friendly practicality. The expert evaluation also describes it as easy to live with and a vehicle that Honda has kept simple, which supports the impression of a low-drama long-term ownership experience.

Honda’s powertrain and everyday drivability are presented as solid and confidence-inspiring, with good acceleration and predictable behaviour in normal use. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright mechanical drama and more about living with the Pilot’s unimpressive fuel economy and dated-feeling technology.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Pilot?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport is affordable but light on appealing amenities, while the EX-L is the recommended minimum upgrade because it adds a more appealing leather-lined cabin. The TrailSport leans into added off-roading capability, and the Black Edition brings blacked-out exterior trim, black wheels, black badges, black leather seats, red perforation accents, red contrast stitching, and red ambient lighting.
• Powertrain: Every 2025 Pilot uses a 3.5-litre V6 with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard i-VTM4 AWD in Canada. Output is 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and the Pilot can tow up to 2,268 kilograms.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keeping Assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Parking sensors and a multi-view camera system were fitted to the Black Edition test vehicle.
• Infotainment: The Black Edition had a 10.2-inch digital gauge panel and a 9-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, SiriusXM, text-messaging support, HondaLink, Wi-Fi access, navigation, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel economy is unimpressive, especially in city-heavy driving, where the Pilot returned 15.9 litres per 100 kilometres. On the evaluation loop, it averaged 14.1 L/100 km, versus an official combined rating of 11.2 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Honda Pilot trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Pilot is offered in 5 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is also the least appealing if you want a richer feature set. It makes sense only if you are focused on keeping the purchase price down.
• EX-L: This is the best-value choice because it is the recommended upgrade over the Sport and adds the leather-lined feel that makes the Pilot more satisfying to live with.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the Pilot’s added off-roading capability and a more rugged character.
• Touring: This trim sits higher in the lineup and is the better fit if you want a more upscale, better-equipped Pilot without going all the way to the top.
• Black Edition: This is the style-focused flagship, with blacked-out exterior trim, black wheels, black badges, red interior accents, and the most distinctive look in the range.

Honda’s standard safety package is comprehensive across the lineup, while the Black Edition test vehicle also added parking sensors and a multi-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 157 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.52% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $54,636 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $54,636 CAD sits slightly below last year's $63,176 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Pilot easier to buy now but may also limit how much value a seller can expect to recover in the near term. If you are planning to sell later, the current trend points to a softer resale environment than last year’s. Even so, the Pilot’s broad appeal as a practical family SUV should help keep demand steady.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.91/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Honda Pilot safe?

The 2025 Honda Pilot earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every version and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keeping Assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. The Black Edition test vehicle also had parking sensors and a multi-view camera system.

There are some caveats to keep in mind. The adaptive cruise control showed awkward behaviour in traffic, the lane-centring assist dulled steering feel, and the road sign recognition system sometimes displayed inaccurate information. Those issues do not erase the Pilot’s strong crash-test results, but they are worth noting if you want the most polished driver-assistance experience.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.91/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Honda keeps the formula simple with a single powertrain and standard AWD in Canada.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It brings a brawnier, more truck-like look.

The bottom line: If you want the better shopping opportunity, the 2025 is the stronger pick because prices have eased and inventory is available. If you are mainly chasing the newest styling, the 2026 is the alternative to compare, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2025 while the market is softer.
