How much does the 2025 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 11.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 178 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Honda Odyssey a good car?

The 2025 Honda Odyssey earns an expert rating of 6.3/10.

The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It remains a comfortable, exceptionally practical minivan with plenty of cargo space and seats that suit family use well. The driving experience is a strength too, since it is described as enjoyable to drive and rewarding for a minivan. The main trade-offs are its hybrid powertrain unavailable and outdated technology, which keep it from feeling fully competitive.

With 32.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Honda Odyssey reliable?

The 2025 Honda Odyssey is presented as a familiar, long-running family minivan that focuses on comfort and practicality, and its expert assessment describes it as a traditional minivan with a strong family-use formula.

Its performance notes point to a tried-and-true V6, a 10-speed automatic, and a front-wheel-drive layout, which supports a straightforward ownership experience. The expert commentary also says the Odyssey remains comfortable and reasonably quiet on the highway, while the safety systems generally operate smoothly and unobtrusively.

Honda’s ownership-cost messaging is less reassuring, though, because the lack of a hybrid option and all-wheel drive means you should expect higher running costs than some rivals. For used buyers, that makes long-term ownership more about careful maintenance and accepting the Odyssey’s traditional strengths than chasing low-cost efficiency.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Odyssey?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: In Canada, the 2025 Odyssey comes in Sport, Sport-L, Touring, and Black Edition trim levels. The entry trim is slightly defeatured, while the Touring and Black Edition add front and rear parking sensors.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. There is no hybrid powertrain or AWD option.
• Safety package: Every Odyssey has Honda Sensing, with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Touring and Black Edition trims add front and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: The Odyssey gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and USB-C charging ports. Wireless smartphone charging is offered on the top three grades.
• Fuel efficiency: According to Natural Resources Canada, it should use 10.6 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.

Which 2025 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Odyssey is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Sport-L, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Odyssey’s core family-friendly layout at the lowest price. If you want the most accessible way into the model, this is the one to start with.
• Sport-L: This is the best-value trim if you want a more complete equipment mix without jumping too far up the range. It should be the trim to focus on if you want a balanced buy.
• Touring: This trim adds more convenience and comfort equipment, including front and rear parking sensors, and it suits you if you want a more upscale family hauler.
• Black Edition: This is the top trim and is best if you want the most fully equipped Odyssey, but it is the least value-focused choice.

Touring and Black Edition trims add front and rear parking sensors.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Odyssey?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 178 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.25% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $50,612 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $50,659 CAD sits slightly below last year's $57,083 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Odyssey has softened in the used market, which can help you buy more affordably today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim. If you keep the vehicle well maintained, you may be better positioned than the average listing, but the broader trend still points to a softer market than a year ago.

Is the 2025 Honda Odyssey safe?

The 2025 Honda Odyssey earns a “Poor” rating in a new IIHS evaluation, and it also performs well in NHTSA testing.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Odyssey has Honda Sensing, with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Touring and Black Edition trims add front and rear parking sensors.

The weak IIHS result is the main caveat here, so if safety is a top priority, you should pay close attention to that rating alongside the standard driver-assistance equipment.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.25% compared with last year.
• Honda’s 2025 updates add a new 7-inch digital driver display, an updated 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, modernized USB-C charging ports, an available smartphone charging pad, and a new rear-seat entertainment system.

The bottom line: If you want the latest version of this generation with its updated tech and softer pricing, the 2025 makes sense. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth considering, especially if you can find a cleaner example with the equipment you want at a lower asking price.
