There are 356 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The 2025 Civic Hybrid adds a new hybrid option to the Civic lineup, bringing more power and significantly improved fuel economy while keeping the car affordable and attractive. It also offers sedan and hatchback body styles, so you can choose the layout that fits your daily routine best.

The main trade-off is that all-wheel drive is not available, so if that capability matters to you, this model will not fit your needs. The expert notes also point to a comfort-first suspension tune rather than a sporty one.

With 28.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is a decent amount of market flexibility if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Civic Hybrid is presented as a polished, easy-to-live-with compact car, and the hybrid system is described as smooth, quiet, and responsive in everyday driving. The powertrain’s seamless transition between electric and gasoline operation, along with the quiet ride and active noise cancellation, supports the impression of a well-sorted ownership experience.

Honda’s safety systems also appear to be well integrated, with no false alarms noted during testing. The fuel-saving hybrid setup should help reduce operating costs over time, which is another plus for long-term ownership.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the car’s appeal depends on the hybrid system and its electronics staying trouble-free, so a careful pre-purchase inspection is especially worthwhile.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is already one of the nicest in the class, but higher trims add a digital instrument panel and a more upscale feel. The hatchback hybrid version also brings a sleeker profile and more distinctive taillights, while the base setup is more straightforward.
• Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque. It is tuned for smooth, quiet, responsive driving, with seamless transitions between electric and gasoline power.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. The top Touring trim adds parking-speed automatic braking, parking proximity sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.
• Infotainment: The base LX gets a seven-inch touchscreen, an eight-speaker audio system, and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top Sport Touring Hybrid upgrades to a nine-inch touchscreen, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, wireless smartphone integration, a wireless charging pad, and Google Built-in.
• Fuel efficiency: Honda estimates 4.8 L/100 km combined for the sedan and 5.0 L/100 km combined for the hatchback.

Which 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• Sport Hybrid: This is the better-value choice if you want the hybrid powertrain and the core efficiency benefits without paying for the top-end tech extras. It gives you the main reason to buy the hybrid in the first place.
• Sport Touring Hybrid: This is the trim to choose if you want the most complete version of the Civic Hybrid, with the larger touchscreen, digital instrument panel, Bose audio, wireless smartphone integration, wireless charging, and Google Built-in. It suits you best if you want the most upscale and tech-rich setup.

The Touring trim also adds parking-speed automatic braking, parking proximity sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence but still compare carefully.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 356 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,579 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $32,607 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,840 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you buy now, because you may be entering the market after some of the initial depreciation has already happened. For a future seller, though, the same trend suggests you should not expect a strong short-term price rebound unless demand tightens.

The Civic Hybrid’s broad appeal should help support resale, especially because it combines efficiency, comfort, and a practical body style choice. If fuel prices stay elevated, that value proposition can remain attractive to the next buyer.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid safe?

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid earns five-star ratings in overall, side, and rollover protection, and four-star ratings for frontal collisions from NHTSA. It also earns the IIHS’s Top Safety Pick+ honour.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. The top Touring trim extends automatic braking to parking lot speeds and adds parking proximity sensors and rain-sensing wipers.

The main caveats are the IIHS’s Acceptable result for forward crash prevention and Marginal rating for seatbelt reminders. Those are worth noting if safety is a top priority for you.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings a new hybrid option to the Civic lineup, along with more power, improved fuel economy, and a slight styling refresh.

The bottom line: If you want the Civic Hybrid with the newest hybrid setup, the 2025 is the one to target because it combines stronger performance, better efficiency, and updated features in an affordable compact package. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can focus on listings near the low end of the range and use the current market softness to your advantage.
