How much does the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid cost?

Prices have softened 10.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 364 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for everyday shoppers.

The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The Civic Hybrid’s appeal comes from its affordable, attractive compact-car packaging, plus the added power and significantly improved fuel economy of the new hybrid setup. It also benefits from a slight styling refresh and useful sedan or hatchback body styles, so you can choose the format that fits your routine.

The main trade-offs are that all-wheel drive is not available, and the hybrid’s strongest value is tied to buyers who prioritise efficiency and comfort over extra traction. Even so, 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Civic Hybrid’s reliability case is helped by its smooth, quiet hybrid operation and the fact that the powertrain transitions between electric and gasoline power almost seamlessly. The expert evaluation also notes that the system feels responsive, the CVT remains smooth and quiet in normal driving, and the ride quality is composed enough for longer trips.

The cost-effectiveness notes also point to a meaningful ownership advantage if you keep the car for several years, since the fuel savings can outweigh the higher purchase price over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you’re still choosing a hybrid compact car with no all-wheel drive, so your satisfaction will depend on whether efficiency and comfort matter more than added traction.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is already one of the nicest in the class, but higher trims add a digital instrument panel for a more high-tech feel. The hatchback hybrid version also brings a sleeker profile and more distinctive taillights, while the interior quality remains a strong point across the range.
• Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for a combined 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque. It is tuned for smooth, quiet, responsive driving, with seamless transitions between electric and gasoline power.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. The top Touring trim adds automatic braking at parking lot speeds, parking proximity sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.
• Infotainment: The base LX gets a seven-inch touchscreen, an eight-speaker audio system, and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top Sport Touring Hybrid adds a nine-inch touchscreen, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, wireless smartphone integration, a wireless charging pad, and Google Built-in.
• Fuel efficiency: Honda estimates 4.8 L/100 km combined for the sedan and 5.0 L/100 km combined for the hatchback. Natural Resources Canada also estimates annual fuel costs of $1,519 for the Civic Hybrid sedan.

Which 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• Sport Hybrid: This is the entry point to the hybrid lineup, and it gives you the core hybrid powertrain plus the Civic’s strong comfort and efficiency mix. It makes the most sense if you want the hybrid experience without paying for the extra tech and luxury features.
• Sport Touring Hybrid: This is the best-value trim if you want the full feature set, because it adds the digital instrument panel, larger touchscreen, Bose audio, wireless smartphone integration, wireless charging, and Google Built-in. It suits you best if you want the most polished and tech-forward version of the Civic Hybrid.

The top Touring trim also extends automatic braking to parking lot speeds and adds parking proximity sensors and rain-sensing wipers.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you’re willing to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 364 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,522 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $32,598 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,603 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. If you’re a future seller, it also means your resale outcome will depend heavily on how well the car holds demand after this softer pricing period.

Because the Civic Hybrid combines strong efficiency, comfort, and broad appeal, it should remain attractive to used buyers who want a practical compact hybrid. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid safe?

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid earns five-star ratings in overall, side, and rollover protection, and four-star ratings for frontal collisions from NHTSA. It also earned the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ honour, with Good scores in all evaluations except forward crash prevention, where it scored Acceptable, and seatbelt reminders, which are rated Marginal.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. The top Touring trim adds automatic braking at parking lot speeds, parking proximity sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.

The main caveat is the lower IIHS seatbelt reminder result, which is worth noting if safety performance is a top priority for you.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The debut of the new hybrid model brings more power, significantly improved fuel economy, and a slight styling refresh.

The bottom line: If you want the newest hybrid Civic with stronger efficiency, more power, and updated features, the 2025 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully within this year’s inventory and focus on listings near the low end of the range.
