Used 2025 Ford Expedition for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2025 Ford Expedition cost?

Prices have softened 9.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 164 listings available, which suggests you have a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and an expert rating of 7.5/10, the 2025 Ford Expedition looks like a strong fit if you need a large SUV with generous interior space and serious towing capability. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

Its all-new cabin is a major part of the appeal, with a tech-forward layout that feels impressively futuristic, while the exterior stays relatively subdued. The Expedition also stands out for being surprisingly easy to drive in everyday use despite its size.

The trade-offs are clear: the engines are thirsty, and some tech functions require an additional subscription.

With 28.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is enough market activity to support selective shopping.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Expedition is presented as a well-equipped, capability-focused SUV with strong everyday usability, and the expert assessment backs up that impression with a solid 8/10 safety score and a generally favourable view of its overall execution. Its standard equipment list is broad, and the model’s performance and technology strengths suggest a vehicle built to handle demanding family use.

The performance write-up also points to a powertrain that has no trouble moving the Expedition’s substantial mass and remains composed on the highway, which is a good sign for durability-minded shoppers. The main ownership risk for used buyers is that fuel costs and subscription-based tech features can make long-term running expenses higher than you might expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Expedition?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Active trim already comes with ActiveX synthetic leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, power-folding rear seats, and the 24-inch panoramic driver information display, so you should compare carefully before paying more for higher trims.
• Powertrain: Every 2025 Expedition uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6, with 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque in standard form, while Tremor models get a high-output version with 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist. BlueCruise 1.4 is available on all trim levels.
• Infotainment: The Expedition uses a 13.2-inch touchscreen with Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play store, and it supports wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay if you do not subscribe to the Ford Connectivity Package.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 15.4 L/100 km in the city, 10.7 L/100 km on the highway, and 13.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Ford Expedition trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Expedition is offered in 4 trim levels: Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch.

Here's the short version:

• Active: This is the best-value trim because it already brings a lot of equipment you might expect on a higher grade, including tri-zone automatic climate control, power-folding rear seats, and the 24-inch panoramic driver information display.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more upscale Expedition experience than the Active, with the trim ladder positioned above the well-equipped entry model.
• Tremor: This is the one to buy if you want the most off-road-focused Expedition, with higher ground clearance, all-terrain tyres, skid plates, an electronic locking rear axle, and the high-output engine.
• King Ranch: Pick this if you want the most luxurious feel, including significantly nicer materials and Del Rio leather seating.

BlueCruise 1.4 is available on all trim levels, so you do not need to move up the range just to get hands-free driving capability.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 164 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $88,941 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $88,941 CAD sits slightly below last year's $98,436 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make future resale a little more competitive for sellers. If you buy now, you may benefit from the lower entry point, but you should also expect resale values to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition safe?

The 2025 Ford Expedition has not yet been rated by NHTSA. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has applied its rating to the 2025 model, but the crash testing was performed on a previous-generation 2023 model, which received only Moderate scores in the small overlap front and updated moderate overlap front tests, with Good scores in all other evaluations.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist. BlueCruise 1.4 is available on all trim levels, with a 90-day trial included.

The main caveat is that the available crash-test information does not fully reflect the updated Expedition’s crashworthiness.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model year is all-new, adds the Tremor trim, and brings a tech-forward cabin with a futuristic feel.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Expedition with the latest cabin design, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, the softer market and decent deal availability make it worth shopping carefully for a well-priced example rather than rushing into the first listing you see.
