Used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 7.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 189 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and the expert rating is 7.17/10. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

The Traverse fits well if you want a larger midsize three-row SUV with broad family-friendly appeal, plenty of cargo space, and strong technology. The standard trailering setup also makes its 2,268-kilogram towing capacity easier to use.

The trade-offs are the unpleasant engine note and the cheap-feeling interior plastics, plus the fussy wiper controls and aggravating third-row folding process. Even so, the combination of style, utility, and tech gives it broad appeal.

33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which is a useful signal if you’re shopping selectively.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Traverse’s appeal is reinforced by its broad standard equipment and the fact that Chevrolet made the trailering package standard for 2025. Its technology and safety equipment also suggest a well-equipped ownership experience.

The 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder is described as making plenty of power, and the available all-wheel drive helps it put that power down more cleanly. Chevrolet also includes three years of access to Super Cruise when you choose the Enhanced Driving Package.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the same quality and usability complaints you notice on a test drive may continue to bother you over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT, Z71, and RS each bring a different character, but the base setup still leaves you with the Traverse’s hard, glossy interior plastics and Evotex artificial leather that can feel less premium than the price suggests.
• Powertrain: The 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder makes strong output, but you should listen for the unpleasant exhaust note and check for front-wheel-drive torque steer if you plan to drive it that way often.
• Safety package: Chevrolet Safety Assist is standard, with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection braking, rear automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a Safety Alert Seat. The Enhanced Driving Package adds Super Cruise and remote-parking technology.
• Infotainment: The standard 17.7-inch touchscreen includes Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, OnStar connected services, and Wi-Fi hotspot access. The 11-inch digital instrumentation panel is also worth checking for clarity and ease of use.
• Fuel efficiency: Our test vehicle was rated at 11.2 L/100 km in combined driving, and it averaged 10.9 L/100 km during testing.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Z71, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the trim to focus on if you want the Traverse’s core strengths — style, space, and standard technology — without paying for the more specialised hardware of the higher trims.
• Z71: This is the best-value trim if you want the most distinctive capability story, because it adds the off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, skid plate, red tow hooks, Twin Clutch AWD system, Terrain mode, and hill descent control.
• RS: Choose this if you want the sportier appearance and a more upscale feel, but the available information points more strongly to the Z71 as the standout for added capability.

Chevrolet’s standard safety package is generous across the range, while the Enhanced Driving Package adds Super Cruise and remote-parking technology.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 189 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.03% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $52,623 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $52,779 CAD sits slightly below last year's $56,772 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. A model with strong technology, broad utility, and standard safety equipment should still attract family shoppers, but condition and trim choice will matter.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2025 Traverse earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick award from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevrolet equips every 2025 Traverse with a generous standard safety package under the Chevy Safety Assist umbrella and beyond. Standard features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection braking, rear automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a Safety Alert Seat.

The Enhanced Driving Package adds Super Cruise and remote-parking technology, along with the digital rearview mirror and a 10-speaker Bose premium sound system. Super Cruise is a standout hands-free system, but it can briefly disengage in some transition-ramp situations and its Cruise Braking behaviour can be overly aggressive in curves.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds standard trailering equipment, making its towing capability easier to use.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $48,127 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $52,779 CAD average.
• It brings a more distinctive redesign with more standard driver aids and a larger touchscreen.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It broadens the Traverse’s role as a spacious crossover aimed at shoppers cross-shopping larger family vehicles.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date mix of standard equipment, towing convenience, and safety tech, the 2025 is the better primary choice. If price matters more than the latest updates, the 2024 is the smarter value path.
