Used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 8.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 180 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Traverse is a larger, bolder three-row SUV that now feels more substantial, with a rugged design and a modern cabin. It should appeal most if you want a family-focused SUV with more passenger space, especially in the third row, plus a much larger touchscreen and more standard driver aids.

The trade-offs are that the base LS trim is a little too basic, the range-topping RS trim is pricey, and the vehicle still feels its size. Even so, 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Traverse’s redesign brings more standard driver aids, a more modern cabin, and a stronger overall sense of substance than the outgoing version. Its performance notes also point to a smooth, controlled ride and seamless stop-start operation, which are encouraging signs for everyday use.

Chevrolet also positions the Traverse as a more complete package than before, with a fully modernized cabin and an improved feature set. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a trim that adds features you may not actually need.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT, Z71, and RS each bring a different focus. The Z71 is the all-new addition and is aimed at shoppers who want moderate off-road capability, while the RS is the top model and comes loaded with nearly every available feature. The base LS trim is described as a little too basic, so you should pay close attention to equipment differences before choosing.
• Powertrain: The Traverse uses a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, replacing the previous V6. It is paired with standard all-wheel drive in Canada, and the Z71 gets a more advanced dual-clutch AWD system.
• Safety package: Every model gets automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera. There are no trim-level safety gaps noted in the content.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 17.7-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google-based software, and Super Cruise hands-free driving aid.
• Fuel efficiency: Official Natural Resources Canada estimates are 12.4 L/100 km in the city, 9.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Z71, RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the entry point, but the content suggests it may feel too basic if you want a more upscale or better-equipped family SUV. It makes sense if you want the Traverse’s core space and tech without stretching to the pricier trims.
• Z71: This is the best-value choice if you want the most distinctive mix of capability and equipment. It adds the all-new rugged trim character and is intended for moderate off-roading, while still keeping the Traverse’s family-friendly strengths intact.
• RS: This is the most feature-rich version, but it is also the priciest. Choose it if you want the loaded experience and are comfortable paying for it.

The safety package is standard across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 180 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $48,078 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $48,804 CAD sits slightly below last year's $53,474 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Traverse more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, that also means resale upside may depend more on trim choice, condition, and mileage than on broad market momentum alone.

Because the model has softened from last year’s average, you should expect buyers to be price-sensitive. Well-equipped trims with strong feature content are likely to hold attention better than bare-bones examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2024 Traverse had not undergone crash tests from NHTSA or IIHS at the time of the test drive.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

All models get automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera. Super Cruise is also offered, adding hands-free driving capability on mapped roads.

The main caveat is that official crash-test results were not available in the source material, so you should weigh the standard safety equipment alongside the lack of published test scores.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings a rugged redesign, more standard driver aids, and a much larger touchscreen.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $52,384 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $48,804 CAD average.
• It adds standard trailering equipment.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the better value and the biggest market discount. Consider the 2025 only if you specifically want the added trailering convenience and are willing to pay more.
