How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

There are 185 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado earns an 7.83/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It is presented as a strong entry in a crowded midsize-truck segment, with a special emphasis on off-pavement performance. You also get stylish design and easy-to-use technology, which helps it fit both daily driving and weekend use.

The trade-offs are clear: fuel economy is poor, value for money is questionable, and there is no long-bed option.

With 34.6% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado is positioned as a capable, well-rounded midsize truck with a powerful standard turbocharged engine and a straightforward lineup.

Its standard 2.7-litre TurboMax engine delivers strong output quickly, with minimal lag right off idle, and the transmission is described as shifting quickly and smoothly. That kind of powertrain behaviour is a good sign for everyday dependability, especially if you want a truck that feels responsive without needing to work hard for performance.

Chevrolet also includes standard Chevy Safety Assist and Teen Driver technology across the lineup, which adds useful protection and control for family use. The Colorado’s off-road-oriented hardware is also described as robust, with features like skid plates, locking differentials on the test truck, and a two-speed transfer case on higher off-road trims.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the truck’s poor fuel economy and high purchase price can make it expensive to live with over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Colorado?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: WT is the most work-focused version, while LT adds body-colour door handles and side mirrors plus nicer wheels. Trail Boss adds a five-centimetre factory suspension lift and off-road hardware, Z71 adds 32-inch tires and tow recovery hooks, and ZR2 brings the most aggressive appearance and hardware. The base trim is the most stripped-down, so check whether you want the extra convenience and visual upgrades from the higher trims.
• Powertrain: Every Colorado uses a 2.7-litre TurboMax four-cylinder with 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. 4WD is optional on WT and standard in Canada on LT, Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Blind-zone steering assist, reverse automatic emergency braking and rear park assist are also standard, while rear pedestrian alert, trailering support for blind-zone steering assist and a 360-degree camera system are optional.
• Infotainment: Every Colorado gets an 11.3-inch touchscreen, Google built-in software, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and voice recognition.
• Fuel efficiency: The Colorado is rated at 13.6 L/100 km city, 11.0 highway and 12.4 combined with 4WD. The ZR2 rises to 14.1 city, 13.8 highway and 14.0 combined, while the ZR2 Bison is rated at 14.8 city, 15.1 highway and 14.9 combined.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the entry point if you want the Colorado’s core capability at the lowest price, but it is the most basic version and is best suited to buyers who care more about utility than extras.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more polished look and keeps the Colorado’s standard tech and powertrain intact.
• Trail Boss: Choose this if you want the factory lift and a more off-road-ready setup without jumping all the way to the top trims.
• Z71: This is the balanced choice if you want stronger off-road hardware and a more upscale appearance without going full extreme.
• ZR2: This is the pick for you if off-road performance is the priority, with the most serious hardware and the most aggressive character in the lineup.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, and Teen Driver technology is standard on all Colorado models.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Colorado?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 185 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.96% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $52,932 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $52,932 CAD sits slightly below last year's $60,120 CAD.

That price drop suggests the Colorado is currently in a softer resale position than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you may benefit from that cooling market, but a future seller could face more competition if prices stay under pressure.

For you as a used buyer, that can be helpful if you plan to keep the truck for a while and want to enter at a lower point in the cycle. For a seller, it means pricing carefully will matter more if you want to stand out.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado safe?

The 2025 Colorado earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in side-impact and all other NHTSA tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Colorado comes with standard Chevy Safety Assist, which includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Blind-zone steering assist, reverse automatic emergency braking and rear park assist are also standard.

You should also note that rear pedestrian alert, trailering support for blind-zone steering assist and a 360-degree camera system are optional. The IIHS had not published crash-test ratings for this model at the time referenced here.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.96% compared with last year.
• It pairs strong off-road focus with a powerful standard turbocharged engine.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $47,537 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $52,932 CAD average.
• It leans more toward recreation than work.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the lineup simple with one powertrain and mostly unchanged hardware.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want the current-year mix of capability, tech and softened pricing. If your priority is spending less, the 2024 is the more budget-friendly path, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the simplified lineup and can wait for the newer model year.
