How much does the 2025 Audi SQ5 cost?

There are 63 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 a good car?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 earns a 7.2/10 expert rating, and it is aimed at you if you want a compact luxury crossover SUV that feels sporty, luxurious, and fun to drive.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

It stands out for its redesigned architecture, added practicality, and next-generation technology, while the Sportback body style is meant to keep its racy roofline from sacrificing passenger and cargo space as much as you might expect. The main trade-offs are a poor fuel economy score and driver-assistance tech that does not fully inspire confidence.

The SQ5’s market position looks healthy, with 30.2% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 reliable?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is presented as a well-equipped, performance-focused luxury SUV with a strong mechanical package and a modern platform, but its reliability story is complicated by the driver-assistance behaviour described in testing.

Audi’s turbocharged 3.0-litre V6, seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, quattro all-wheel drive, and adaptive air suspension give you a sophisticated hardware base, and the vehicle proved sure-footed in wet conditions during testing. The performance notes also point to a quiet highway cabin, strong braking, and composed body control.

On the other hand, the safety and driver-assistance systems did not behave consistently in testing, including repeated steering-wheel warnings and an unwarranted emergency-braking event. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is less about the core powertrain and more about living with technology that may not always act predictably.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi SQ5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SQ5 and SQ5 Sportback are offered in Progressiv and Technik trim levels. The Technik brings extra appearance and cabin upgrades, including customizable digital daytime running lights, OLED taillights, ambient cabin lighting, and Fine Nappa leather, while the base trim still gets a high-end interior and the Audi Digital Stage layout.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 with 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and quattro all-wheel drive. Audi says it reaches 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, and the official combined fuel consumption is 11.4 L/100 km.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. The SQ5 also includes Rear Turn Assist and Emergency Assist, but it does not offer low-speed hands-free traffic jam assist or hands-free driving technology.
• Infotainment: Progressiv includes an 11.9-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus display and a 14.5-inch OLED MMI touchscreen. Technik adds a 10.9-inch passenger screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, SiriusXM, Audi Assistant, Audi Connect Care, a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen system, and a configurable head-up display are also standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The official combined fuel consumption is 11.4 L/100 km, and testing returned 11.5 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Audi SQ5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is offered in 4 trim levels: Progressiv, Technik, SQ5, and SQ5 Sportback.

Here's the short version:

• Progressiv: This is the value-oriented choice if you want the SQ5’s core performance, standard Audi Digital Stage setup, wireless smartphone integration, and the full mechanical package without paying for the extra luxury touches in the higher trim.
• Technik: This is the best-value trim if you want the most complete version of the SQ5. It adds the passenger screen, more visual flair, and the richer cabin presentation, including the Fine Nappa leather and lighting upgrades that make the interior feel more special.
• SQ5: This name appears in the model’s trim roster and represents the standard body style version of the performance SUV.
• SQ5 Sportback: This is the racy-roofline body style for shoppers who want the same performance and equipment with a more coupe-like look.

The SQ5 Technik is the trim that most clearly layers in the extra safety and convenience presentation, while the standard safety suite remains broadly consistent across the range.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi SQ5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 63 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $69,833 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Audi SQ5's resale value?

The current average of $69,833 CAD sits slightly below last year's $78,310 CAD.

That price movement suggests the SQ5 has become more attractive to used buyers than it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, you should expect the market to remain sensitive to mileage, condition, and equipment because shoppers can now compare against a softer average price.

For you as a future seller, that means well-kept examples with desirable trim and equipment should still stand out. But if the market stays competitive, you may need to price carefully to avoid sitting above the strongest listings.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 safe?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 does not have released IIHS or NHTSA ratings of its own in the source material, but the related 2025 Audi Q5 earned a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. It also includes Rear Turn Assist and Emergency Assist.

The concern is that the driver-assistance systems did not always behave as expected in testing. Audi does not offer low-speed, hands-free traffic jam assist for the SQ5, and the vehicle also lacks hands-free driving technology. The test vehicle repeatedly warned the driver to hold the wheel even when it was already being held, and it also triggered an unwarranted emergency-braking event.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi SQ5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.83% compared with last year.
• The redesigned SQ5’s stronger performance, added practicality, and next-generation technology matter more to you than chasing an older, cheaper example.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date SQ5 experience, the 2025 model is the one to target because it brings the redesign, the stronger tech story, and the sporty driving character that sets it apart. If you are more price-sensitive, you can wait for a particularly well-priced listing, since the market already shows softer pricing and a meaningful share of good or great deals.
