How much does the 2025 Audi SQ5 cost?

There are 58 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 a good car?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 earns a 7.17/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

It is a compact luxury crossover SUV that aims to deliver sporty, luxurious, and fun-to-drive performance, and the redesign adds a new vehicle architecture, more power, added practicality, and next-generation technology. The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and a lack of hands-free driving tech. It also stands out for being more enjoyable on twisty roads than you might expect from a sport-tuned SUV.

The market looks reasonably healthy, with 32.8% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 reliable?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is presented as a well-engineered performance SUV with a strong powertrain, standard quattro all-wheel drive, and a sport-tuned adaptive air suspension. The turbocharged 3.0-litre V6, seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and sure-footed road manners point to a mechanically polished package.

The expert notes also describe the SQ5 as delightful to drive in a wide range of conditions, with strong traction, stable handling, and a quiet cabin in Balanced mode. On the downside, the driver-assistance systems are a concern because the vehicle issued false warnings and an unprompted emergency-braking event during testing.

For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk is less about the core powertrain and more about whether the assistance tech behaves consistently in everyday driving.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi SQ5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SQ5 and SQ5 Sportback are offered in Progressiv and Technik trim levels. The Technik brings a more upscale feel, including customizable digital daytime running lights, OLED taillights, ambient cabin lighting, and Fine Nappa leather, while the standard setup already feels high-tech and well finished.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 with 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, plus a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. It is quick, sounds good under acceleration, and is tuned for strong road manners rather than efficiency.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. The SQ5 does not offer low-speed, hands-free traffic jam assist or hands-free driving technology.
• Infotainment: The Progressiv trim includes an 11.9-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus display and a 14.5-inch OLED MMI touchscreen. The Technik adds a 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, Audi Assistant, and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system are standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The official fuel consumption rating is 11.4 L/100 km combined, and testing returned 11.5 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Audi SQ5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is offered in 4 trim levels: Progressiv, Technik, Progressiv Sportback, Technik Sportback.

Here's the short version:

• Progressiv: This is the trim to target if you want the SQ5 experience with the core performance, technology, and luxury features already in place. It gives you the 11.9-inch digital instrument display, the 14.5-inch central touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, navigation, and the standard safety suite without paying for the extra passenger display or lighting upgrades.
• Technik: This is the best-value choice if you want the most complete version of the SQ5. It adds the 10.9-inch passenger screen, Dynamic Interaction Lighting, and more visual flair inside and out, along with the richer cabin presentation that suits the SQ5’s premium positioning.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but the driver-assistance tech has some notable shortcomings, so you should test those systems carefully on any used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi SQ5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 58 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.38% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $69,972 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Audi SQ5's resale value?

The current average of $69,972 CAD sits slightly below last year's $80,779 CAD.

That price movement suggests the SQ5 has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than the previous year. If you buy now, you may benefit from the lower entry point, but resale upside could be more limited if prices continue to ease. For a future owner, condition, mileage, and equipment level will matter even more when it comes time to sell.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 safe?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 does not yet have published IIHS or NHTSA ratings of its own, but the related 2025 Audi Q5 earned a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. Audi also includes Emergency Assist and Rear Turn Assist in the MMI safety settings menu, plus hands-on detection capability in the steering wheel.

The concern is that the SQ5’s driver-assistance systems did not behave consistently in testing. The vehicle repeatedly warned the driver to hold the wheel even when it was already being held, and it also triggered an unprompted emergency-braking event. It does not offer low-speed, hands-free traffic jam assist or hands-free driving technology.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi SQ5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.38% compared with last year.
• The redesigned SQ5’s stronger performance, added practicality, and next-generation technology are important to you.

The bottom line: If you want the newest SQ5 with the best mix of performance, technology, and everyday usability, the 2025 is the one to focus on. If you are mainly shopping on price, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2025’s redesign and lower average price make it the more compelling starting point for most buyers.
