Used 2025 Audi SQ5 for Sale nearSaint John, NB

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 a good car?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 earns a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

It is a compact luxury crossover SUV that aims to deliver sport sedan performance in a more practical package, and the redesign adds a new vehicle architecture, more power, added practicality, and next-generation technology. It is offered in standard and Sportback body styles, and the Sportback’s roofline is said not to compromise passenger and cargo space as much as you might expect.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and a lack of hands-free driving tech. Even so, the SQ5 is positioned as a sporty, luxurious, fun-to-drive SUV that avoids some of the usual compromises of the segment.

32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 reliable?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is presented as a well-rounded, modern luxury SUV with strong performance and a new platform, but its long-term appeal depends on how much you value its advanced systems and can live with its efficiency. The performance hardware is substantial, and the vehicle’s road manners are described as sure-footed and delightful in a range of conditions.

Audi’s standard maintenance coverage includes a four-year/80,000-kilometre warranty, and the SQ5 also includes connected-service plans with a four-year trial. The powertrain and chassis sound robust, but the driver-assistance behaviour described in testing suggests you should pay close attention to how the systems behave before buying used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi SQ5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Progressiv trim gives you the core SQ5 experience, while the Technik adds a front passenger touchscreen and more ambient-lighting features. The cabin is high-quality and high-tech in both, but the Technik brings the more elaborate presentation.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 with 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, quattro all-wheel drive, and standard sport-tuned adaptive air suspension. The official fuel consumption rating is 11.4 L/100 km combined, and testing returned 11.5 L/100 km.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. Additional functions include Rear Turn Assist and Emergency Assist, but the system lacks low-speed hands-free traffic jam assist and hands-free driving tech.
• Infotainment: The Progressiv trim includes an 11.9-inch digital instrument display and a 14.5-inch OLED infotainment touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a navigation system, Audi Assistant, and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D surround-sound system. The Technik adds a 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: The SQ5 is rated at 11.4 L/100 km combined, and the test vehicle recorded 11.5 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Audi SQ5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is offered in 2 trim levels: Progressiv and Technik.

Here's the short version:

• Progressiv: This is the trim to target if you want the core SQ5 package with the 11.9-inch digital instrument display, the 14.5-inch OLED infotainment screen, wireless smartphone integration, Audi Assistant, and the standard performance hardware. It gives you the essential SQ5 experience without paying for the extra passenger-side screen.
• Technik: This is the better pick if you want the most upscale version of the SQ5, since it adds the 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen and more elaborate ambient lighting features. It suits you best if you value the most premium cabin presentation and the fullest tech showcase.

The SQ5’s safety equipment is standard across the range, but the driver-assistance behaviour described in testing is a reason to evaluate the systems carefully before you buy.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 safe?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 had not yet been rated by IIHS or NHTSA at the time of publication, but the related 2025 Audi Q5 earned a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA. IIHS testing of the related Q5 produced top Good ratings only in the small overlap front test, while other crash tests received Acceptable and Marginal ratings.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. Audi also includes Rear Turn Assist and Emergency Assist in the MMI safety settings menu, plus hands-on detection capability in the steering wheel.

The main concern is the behaviour of the driver-assistance systems: the SQ5 lacks hands-free traffic jam assist and hands-free driving tech, and the automatic braking system can react too aggressively. That means you should test the safety tech carefully during a used-car inspection.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi SQ5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• The redesign brings a new vehicle architecture, more power, added practicality, and next-generation technology.

The bottom line: If you want the newest SQ5 with the strongest mix of performance, practicality, and technology, the 2025 is the one to focus on. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and shop for the best-equipped example that fits your budget.
