Used 2025 Audi SQ5 for Sale nearMoncton, NB

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 a good car?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 earns an expert rating of 7.2/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

It stands out as a compact luxury crossover SUV that brings sport sedan performance to an SUV body, with styling, equipment, and mechanical upgrades aimed at making it sporty, luxurious, and fun to drive. The standard and Sportback body styles give you flexibility, and the Sportback’s racy roofline is said not to compromise passenger and cargo space as much as expected.

The main trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and hallucinating safety features. Even so, the SQ5 is positioned as a strong choice if you want a performance-tuned luxury SUV that still feels practical and enjoyable on twisty roads.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 reliable?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is presented as a new-generation model with a new vehicle architecture, more power, added practicality, and next-generation technology. Its performance hardware and road manners are described positively, with sure-footed traction, strong stability, and a powertrain that feels satisfying and refined when driven hard.

The SQ5 also includes Audi Connect Care plans for remote vehicle controls and navigation/infotainment with a four-year trial, which adds some ownership convenience.

That said, the driver-assistance behaviour described in testing raises trust concerns, so used buyers should be cautious about long-term confidence in the vehicle’s assistance systems.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi SQ5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SQ5 and SQ5 Sportback are offered in Progressiv and Technik trim levels. The Technik adds a front passenger touchscreen, while the SQ5 Technik also brings customisable digital daytime running lights, OLED taillights, ambient cabin lighting, and Fine Nappa leather. The base trim still includes a strong set of standard equipment, but the higher trim is the one that feels most fully loaded.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 with 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. Sport-tuned adaptive air suspension is standard, and the SQ5 uses larger wheels, lower-profile tires, and bigger front brakes than the Q5.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. Rear Turn Assist and Emergency Assist are also mentioned, but the SQ5 does not offer low-speed, hands-free traffic jam assist or hands-free driving technology.
• Infotainment: Progressiv trim includes an 11.9-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus display and a 14.5-inch OLED MMI touchscreen. Standard equipment also includes navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, Audi Assistant, a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D surround-sound system, and a configurable head-up display. Technik adds a 10.9-inch front passenger touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada fuel economy rating is 11.4 litres per 100 kilometres combined, and testing returned 11.5 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Audi SQ5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is offered in 4 trim levels: Progressiv, Technik, Progressiv Sportback, Technik Sportback.

Here's the short version:

• Progressiv: This is the trim to start with if you want the core SQ5 experience without stretching for the most expensive version. You still get the strong V6, standard adaptive air suspension, the digital cockpit, the large MMI touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, the Bang & Olufsen audio system, and the full standard safety suite.
• Technik: This is the best-value choice if you want the most complete SQ5. It adds the front passenger touchscreen, customisable lighting elements, and Fine Nappa leather, making it the most upscale and feature-rich version.
• Progressiv Sportback: Choose this if you prefer the Sportback body style and want the same equipment balance as the standard Progressiv, along with the sleeker roofline.
• Technik Sportback: This is the most premium-looking and most fully equipped version, but it makes the most sense only if you specifically want the Sportback shape and the extra luxury touches.

The SQ5’s safety package is standard across the lineup, but the driver-assistance behaviour described in testing is a reason to evaluate those systems carefully on any trim.

Is the 2025 Audi SQ5 safe?

The 2025 Audi SQ5 had not yet been rated by IIHS or NHTSA at the time of publication.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features on the 2025 SQ5 include automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. Audi also includes Rear Turn Assist and Emergency Assist in the MMI safety settings menu, and the steering wheel is supposed to offer hands-on detection capability.

The caveat is that the SQ5’s driver-assistance systems were not fully trustworthy in testing. The steering wheel repeatedly warned the driver to hold it even when it was already being held, and the vehicle also braked unexpectedly in a situation where no collision threat was present.
