Is the 2025 Audi A3 a good car?

The 2025 Audi A3 earns an 7.8/10 expert rating, and it is aimed at you if you want a compact premium sedan that is genuinely enjoyable to drive without giving up upscale cabin quality or modern tech.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It stands out for superior performance, nimbler handling, and a polished interior with quality materials, while still feeling practical for daily use. The trade-offs are clear: the back seat is cramped, cargo space is limited, and the lane-departure warning system can be distracting.

With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a reasonable chance of finding a competitive offer if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Audi A3 reliable?

The 2025 Audi A3 is presented as a solid, well-built small luxury sedan with a refined powertrain and a four-year/80,000-kilometre warranty typical of the segment.

Its turbocharged 2.0-litre engine and dual-clutch transmission are described as satisfying and well behaved in real-world driving, and the car feels solid and structurally sound around town. Audi’s adaptive cruise system is also praised for smooth, calm operation on the highway.

Audi’s four-year/80,000-kilometre warranty is typical of the segment, although Acura provides a slightly longer warranty for major components of five years or 100,000 kilometres.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a premium compact car can be less forgiving if you want maximum space, simplicity, or low running-cost priorities.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi A3?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you the core Audi look and standard safety equipment, but Progressiv and Technik add more upscale features and better tech. If you want the most complete package, Technik is the one to compare carefully.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 201 horsepower, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and standard quattro AWD. It is tuned for strong everyday response and good fuel economy, with a combined rating of 8.5 L/100 km.
• Safety package: Every A3 includes Pre Sense Front with forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, plus lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, a vehicle exit warning system, and Audi Side Assist blind-spot monitoring. Progressiv adds Adaptive Cruise Assist, and the available Advanced Driver Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control with or without Lane Guidance and Predictive Control.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Audi Connect services, and a six-speaker sound system. Technik adds a 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus display and navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The A3 is rated at 8.5 L/100 km combined by Natural Resources Canada, and the test result cited was 9.9 L/100 km on the evaluation loop.

Which 2025 Audi A3 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi A3 is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Progressiv, and Technik.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the A3’s core appeal at the lowest price, including the standard safety suite, wireless smartphone integration, and the same engaging driving character. It makes sense if you care most about the A3’s premium feel and don’t need the extra convenience and tech upgrades.
• Progressiv: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds Adaptive Cruise Assist and can be paired with the available Advanced Driver Assistance Package. It is the sweet spot if you want a more complete daily-driver setup without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• Technik: Choose this if you want the most upscale A3, including the larger 12.3-inch digital display, navigation, and standard Sonos premium audio. It is the right pick if you want the most polished tech experience.

The safety package is standard across the range, while Adaptive Cruise Assist is added on Progressiv and the Advanced Driver Assistance Package is available on Progressiv and Technik.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi A3?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 118 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.26% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,895 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $38,021 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,090 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has moved in your favour if you are buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to price more competitively to stand out. If you own one for a few years, resale value will likely depend on condition, mileage, and how well the car is equipped. The A3’s premium badge and strong feature set should help, but it is still a compact luxury sedan in a niche segment.

Is the 2025 Audi A3 safe?

The 2025 Audi A3 earns its top rating in a small overlap front crash test from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Audi equips every 2025 A3 with Pre Sense Front, which combines forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, along with lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, a vehicle exit warning system, and Audi Side Assist blind-spot monitoring. Progressiv adds Adaptive Cruise Assist with adaptive cruise control, and the available Advanced Driver Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control with or without Lane Guidance plus Predictive Control for upcoming curves.

The main caveat is the lane-departure warning system, which can issue false alerts and may annoy you in normal driving.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.26% compared with last year.
• The refreshed model year’s stronger performance, better fuel economy, and updated tech appeal to you.

The bottom line: If you want the most appealing version of the A3’s compact-premium formula, the 2025 model is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you can focus on the best-priced listings and let condition and equipment guide your decision.
