Is the 2025 Audi A3 a good car?

The 2025 Audi A3 earns an 7.8/10 expert rating, and it is aimed at you if you want a compact premium sedan that is genuinely enjoyable to drive without giving up upscale cabin quality or modern technology.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It stands out for its superior performance, nimbler handling, and polished cabin materials, and the expert review also highlights its practical packaging and engaging driving character on twisty roads. The trade-offs are clear: the back seat is cramped, cargo space is limited, and the lane-departure warning system can be distracting. Even so, the market shows 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Audi A3 reliable?

The 2025 Audi A3 is presented as a refined small luxury car with a solid, well-built feel, and the expert review describes it as a comfortable daily driver with accessible technology and an engaging driving experience.

Its powertrain is described as refined and satisfying in real-world driving, and the expert review notes that the car feels solid and structurally sound around town. Audi’s four-year/80,000-kilometre warranty is typical for the segment, which helps frame ownership expectations.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a premium compact car can be less forgiving if you want low running costs and maximum practicality over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi A3?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you the core Audi design and technology, while Progressiv and Technik add more upscale equipment; the base setup is the one most likely to leave you wanting more if you care about premium features.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 201 horsepower, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and standard quattro AWD; the expert review says it is satisfying in real-world driving and especially enjoyable on winding roads.
• Safety package: Every A3 includes Pre Sense Front with forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, plus lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, a vehicle exit warning system, and Audi Side Assist blind-spot monitoring. Progressiv adds Adaptive Cruise Assist with adaptive cruise control, and the available Advanced Driver Assistance Package adds Lane Guidance and Predictive Control.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Audi Connect services, and a six-speaker sound system. Technik adds a larger 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus display and navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The A3 is rated at 8.5 litres per 100 kilometres combined, and the expert test loop returned 9.9 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Audi A3 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi A3 is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Progressiv, and Technik.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the A3’s core appeal — sharp styling, standard quattro AWD, wireless smartphone integration, and the full basic safety suite — without paying for extras you may not need.
• Progressiv: This is the best-value choice if you want the most meaningful upgrade for daily use, because it adds Adaptive Cruise Assist and unlocks the available Advanced Driver Assistance Package while also opening the door to the optional Sonos premium sound system.
• Technik: Choose this if you want the most upscale version, with the larger 12.3-inch digital display, navigation, and standard Sonos premium audio.

The safety package is strongest once you move beyond the base trim, since Progressiv adds Adaptive Cruise Assist and the available Advanced Driver Assistance Package is offered with Progressiv and Technik.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi A3?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 122 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,892 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $38,114 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,001 CAD.

That softer pricing means the A3 is currently more accessible for used buyers than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you are entering at a lower average price point than last year’s market. For a future seller, that also means resale expectations should be grounded in the current softer trend rather than last year’s higher average.

Is the 2025 Audi A3 safe?

The 2025 Audi A3 earns a top rating in a small overlap front crash test from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every A3 comes with Pre Sense Front, which combines forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, plus lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, a vehicle exit warning system, and Audi Side Assist blind-spot monitoring. Progressiv adds Adaptive Cruise Assist with adaptive cruise control, and the available Advanced Driver Assistance Package adds Lane Guidance and Predictive Control for upcoming curves.

One caveat is that the lane-departure warning system can issue false alerts, so you may notice some unnecessary steering-wheel vibration in certain road markings or lane transitions.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.91% compared with last year.
• The refreshed 2025 model’s combination of superior performance, nimbler handling, better fuel economy, quality materials, and modern tech is exactly what you want.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of driving enjoyment, premium feel, and current-market value, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are mainly focused on stretching your budget, a lower-priced nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025 gives you the most compelling version of the A3’s core strengths.
