Used 2025 Acura MDX for Sale nearVarennes, QC

How much does the 2025 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 10.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 178 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX a good car?

It’s a strong fit if you want a refined three-row luxury SUV that prioritises style, comfort, and straightforward tech over outright efficiency. The user rating is 3.8/5, and our experts rate it 7.8/10.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The 2025 MDX leans into simplicity, sophistication, and refinement, with intuitive controls and an easy-to-use infotainment setup. It also offers comfortable accommodations and a quality interior, which makes it appealing for commuting and road trips alike. The trade-offs are clear: the standard V6 is somewhat underwhelming, fuel economy is poor, and there’s no hybrid or plug-in hybrid option. The third row is also cramped, so it’s better suited to families that do not need maximum rear-seat space.

With 36.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, there’s meaningful value in the market if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX reliable?

The 2025 MDX is presented as a refined, well-sorted luxury SUV with improved accuracy and polish in its driver-assistance hardware. Acura says the updated system benefits from hardware upgrades, and the standard AcuraWatch features performed well in testing.

The standard setup includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, Traffic Jam Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and low-speed automatic braking. During testing, the system was generally accurate and refined, though there was one false lane-departure notification and some trouble with a tricky intersection. The lane-centring function can also feel unnatural when adaptive cruise control is switched off.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the MDX’s sophistication does not eliminate the usual wear-and-tear concerns that come with a premium three-row SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Acura MDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base MDX Tech is nicely equipped, while the A-Spec adds a sportier look and the Platinum Elite A-Spec blends maximum luxury with that appearance. The Type S Ultra sits at the top with maximum acceleration and handling, but it is the priciest choice.
• Powertrain: Most versions use a 3.5-litre V6 with 290 hp and a 10-speed automatic. It delivers good power, but it is not especially quick, and fuel economy drops if you use Sport mode often.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, Traffic Jam Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and low-speed automatic braking. The Type S Ultra adds front cross-traffic alert, evasive steering warning, active lane-change assist, and cornering speed assist.
• Infotainment: The new system uses a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Alexa Built-in, Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and AcuraLink connected services. It also supports a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and the interface is a major improvement over the old touchpad setup.
• Fuel efficiency: Most MDX trims are rated at 11.2 L/100 km combined, while the Type S uses 12.4 L/100 km combined. In testing, the MDX averaged 15.3 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Acura MDX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Acura MDX is offered in 4 trim levels: MDX Tech, A-Spec, Platinum Elite A-Spec, and Type S Ultra.

Here's the short version:

• MDX Tech: This is the best-value starting point if you want the core MDX experience without paying for appearance or performance upgrades. It is nicely equipped and gives you the refreshed cabin, new infotainment system, and standard AcuraWatch safety suite.
• A-Spec: Choose this if you want a sportier look and are willing to pay more for style. It adds visual presence without changing the MDX’s basic mission.
• Platinum Elite A-Spec: This is the luxury-leaning choice if you want the most upscale feel with the sportier A-Spec treatment. It also gets the surround-view camera system.
• Type S Ultra: Pick this only if you want the strongest performance and the most advanced feature set. It adds the turbocharged 3.0-litre V6, extra safety tech, and the most hardware-rich package, but it is the most expensive trim.

The Type S Ultra also gets the additional front-corner radar units, upgraded front camera, and the most advanced safety features in the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Acura MDX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and enough discounting to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 178 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.46% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $59,379 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $59,379 CAD sits slightly below last year's $66,318 CAD.

That price movement suggests the MDX is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, you should expect the market to remain sensitive to mileage, condition, and trim because the current average has already moved down. For a future seller, that means keeping the vehicle well maintained and well documented will matter if you want to protect value.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX safe?

The 2025 MDX earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard across the lineup and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, Traffic Jam Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and low-speed automatic braking. The Type S Ultra adds front cross-traffic alert, evasive steering warning, active lane-change assist, and cornering speed assist.

One caveat is that the lane-departure warning can feel less natural than some rivals’ systems, and the lane-centring function can feel intrusive when used without adaptive cruise control.

Should I buy a 2025 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.46% compared with last year.
• This refresh adds simpler, more intuitive technology and a more polished cabin.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $51,864 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $59,379 CAD average.
• It is comfortable, refined, and well rounded.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It carries over the refreshed formula with only minor colour changes.
• It keeps the same sporty, comfortable, and reliable character.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date MDX experience, the 2025 is the best path. If price matters most, the 2024 is the value play, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the same formula and do not mind paying for a newer model year.
