Used 2025 Acura MDX for Sale nearOrleans, ON

How much does the 2025 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 9.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 180 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX a good car?

It’s a strong choice if you want a refined three-row luxury SUV that prioritises simplicity, sophistication, and easy-to-use technology. The user rating is 3.8/5, and the expert rating is 7.8/10.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The MDX’s appeal comes from its stylish design, comfortable accommodations, and intuitive controls, while the refreshed cabin and infotainment setup make it feel more modern and easier to live with. Trade-offs include poor fuel economy and a standard V6 that is somewhat underwhelming, plus there’s no hybrid or plug-in hybrid option.

With 39.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s meaningful value in the market if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX reliable?

The 2025 MDX is presented as a refined, reliable luxury SUV with improved accuracy and refinement from its AcuraWatch hardware upgrades. The standard driver-assistance systems performed well in testing, with only a few minor quirks noted.

The standard suite includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, Traffic Jam Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and low-speed automatic braking. On the Type S Ultra, Acura adds front cross-traffic alert, evasive steering warning, active lane-change assist, and cornering speed assist.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the MDX’s strengths in refinement and technology do not remove its fuel-economy drawback.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Acura MDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Tech trim is nicely equipped, while the A-Spec adds a sportier look and the Platinum Elite A-Spec blends maximum luxury with that appearance. The Type S Ultra sits at the top with the most performance-focused hardware and extra safety tech.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.5-litre V6 makes 290 hp and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and SH-AWD. It delivers good power, but it is not especially quick, and fuel economy drops if you drive it aggressively.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, Traffic Jam Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and low-speed automatic braking. The Type S Ultra adds extra front radar and camera hardware plus additional collision-avoidance features.
• Infotainment: The new system uses a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Google Built-in, Alexa Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, AcuraLink connected services, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. It replaces the old touchpad interface.
• Fuel efficiency: Most MDX trims are rated at 11.2 L/100 km combined, while the Type S uses 12.4 L/100 km combined. In testing, the MDX averaged 15.3 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Acura MDX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Acura MDX is offered in 4 trim levels: Tech, A-Spec, Platinum Elite A-Spec, Type S Ultra.

Here's the short version:

• Tech: This is the best-value starting point because it’s already nicely equipped and gives you the core MDX experience without pushing the price too high.
• A-Spec: Choose this if you want a sportier look and are willing to pay more for appearance and added presence.
• Platinum Elite A-Spec: This is the luxury-leaning pick, combining maximum comfort with the sportier A-Spec treatment.
• Type S Ultra: Pick this only if you want the most performance-oriented MDX, along with the extra safety and camera hardware that comes with it.

The Type S Ultra also gets additional front-collision-avoidance hardware and features beyond the standard AcuraWatch package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re comparing multiple listings.

• Deal availability: 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 180 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $59,274 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $59,274 CAD sits slightly below last year's $65,696 CAD.

That price movement suggests the MDX has become more attractive to used buyers, which can make it harder for a future seller to command top dollar quickly. If you own one, pricing competitively will matter more than relying on brand strength alone. The good news is that the model’s strong equipment and broad appeal should still support steady demand.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX safe?

The 2025 MDX earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, and it carries over the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard across the lineup and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, Traffic Jam Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and low-speed automatic braking. The standard system performed well in testing, though we noted a false lane-departure notification and some awkward behaviour in a tricky intersection.

Should I buy a 2025 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.78% compared with last year.
• The refreshed cabin and infotainment make the MDX more appealing than before.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $51,868 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $59,274 CAD average.
• It’s a well-rounded luxury SUV with strong engines and lots of standard features.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the refreshed formula and adds only minor colour updates.
• It remains sporty-looking, comfortable, and reliable.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date version of the MDX’s improved tech and refinement, the 2025 is the better target. If price matters most, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 is mainly for shoppers who want the same formula with minimal changes.
