How much does the 2025 Acura MDX cost?

There are 156 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX a good car?

The 2025 Acura MDX earns an 7.83/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

It fits you well if you want a refreshed three-row luxury SUV with simple controls, sophisticated design, and intuitive tech. The MDX also brings comfortable accommodations and a strong overall package for buyers who value refinement over complexity.

The trade-offs are clear: the standard V6 is somewhat underwhelming, and the third row is cramped.

With 34.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful value on the market if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX reliable?

The 2025 Acura MDX is presented as a refined, reliable luxury SUV with improved user experience and well-sorted everyday manners.

Its standard AcuraWatch driver-assistance suite is described as operating with improved accuracy and refinement, and the system performed well in testing overall. The performance side is also described as enjoyable if not outright thrilling, with smooth, consistent body motions and a comfortable highway ride.

Acura also gives you a straightforward cabin layout and intuitive technology, which can reduce day-to-day frustration over time. The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the MDX’s fuel economy and cramped third row may become ongoing compromises rather than one-time annoyances.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Acura MDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup adds a new Platinum Elite A-Spec trim level for 2025, and the updates also bring a sportier look and more visual presence to the upper trims. The base MDX Tech is nicely equipped, so you should compare feature content carefully if you want the best value.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.5-litre V6 makes 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque through a 10-speed automatic, while the Type S uses a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 with 355 hp and 354 lb-ft. The standard engine is competent but not especially exciting, and fuel economy suffers if you lean on the sportier settings.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, Traffic Jam Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and low-speed automatic braking. The Type S Ultra adds front cross-traffic alert, evasive steering warning, active lane-change assist, and cornering speed assist.
• Infotainment: The new system uses a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Alexa Built-in and Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also supports AcuraLink connected services and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: Most MDX trims are rated at 11.2 L/100 km combined, while the Type S is rated at 12.4 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Acura MDX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Acura MDX is offered in 4 trim levels: MDX Tech, A-Spec, Platinum Elite A-Spec, and Type S Ultra.

Here's the short version:

• MDX Tech: This is the best-value choice if you want the refreshed MDX experience without stretching to the pricier trims. It is nicely equipped and gives you the core strengths of the model, including the new infotainment setup and standard safety tech.
• A-Spec: Choose this if you want a sportier look and a step up in presence without jumping all the way to the top of the range. It sits in the middle of the lineup and adds more style-focused appeal.
• Platinum Elite A-Spec: This is the trim to target if you want the most luxurious version with a sportier appearance. It also gets the upgraded seat design and the most premium feel in the regular MDX lineup.
• Type S Ultra: Pick this if you want the most performance and the most advanced feature set. It brings the turbocharged engine, the most aggressive hardware, and the extra driver-assistance features, but it is the priciest choice.

The Type S Ultra also gets the additional safety hardware and driver-assistance functions mentioned above.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 156 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.03% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $60,032 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $60,032 CAD sits slightly below last year's $67,476 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the MDX is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you may benefit from a lower entry point than recent owners saw.

For a future seller, that also means resale expectations should stay grounded in the current market rather than last year’s higher average. If demand remains steady, the MDX should still hold appeal, but the recent decline shows there is room for prices to move.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX safe?

The 2025 Acura MDX earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, and it carries over the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard across the lineup and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, Traffic Jam Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and low-speed automatic braking.

The system is described as accurate and refined in testing, though the lane-departure warning notification is still not a favourite. The Type S Ultra adds extra front-facing radar and camera hardware for front cross-traffic alert, evasive steering warning, active lane-change assist, and cornering speed assist.

Should I buy a 2025 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.03% compared with last year.
• The refreshed cabin and simpler infotainment make the MDX easier to live with.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $52,295 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $60,032 CAD average.
• It is a well-rounded luxury SUV with strong engines and lots of standard features.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It carries forward the refreshed formula with only minor colour updates.
• It stays sporty-looking, comfortable, and reliable.

The bottom line: If you want the most polished version of this formula, the 2025 is the one to target. If price matters most, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 makes sense if you prefer a carryover model with the same core strengths.
