Used 2025 Acura MDX for Sale near New Brunswick

How much does the 2025 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 11.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 151 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX a good car?

The 2025 Acura MDX earns an 7.83/10 expert rating, and it is positioned as a refreshed three-row luxury SUV that leans into simplicity, sophistication, and refinement.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

It suits you best if you value straightforward controls, intuitive systems, a comfortable ride, and a stylish design. The trade-offs are clear: the standard V6 is somewhat underwhelming, fuel economy is poor, and the third row is cramped. Even so, the MDX’s polished character and easy-to-use tech make it appealing if you want a luxury family SUV without a steep learning curve.

26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent pool of attractive offers to consider.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX reliable?

The 2025 Acura MDX is presented as a refined, well-rounded SUV with a reputation for quality, and the refreshed model is described as more appealing than ever.

Its standard powertrain is a tried-and-true 3.5-litre V6 paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and SH-AWD, and the review notes that it supplies good power and behaves in a smooth, predictable way. The updated infotainment and driver-assistance systems are also described as accurate and refined in normal use.

Acura’s standard maintenance coverage is not detailed here, so the ownership case rests more on the MDX’s established mechanical setup and its straightforward, polished design. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the poor fuel economy and cramped third row may become more frustrating over time than any reliability concern.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Acura MDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup adds a new Platinum Elite A-Spec trim level for 2025, and the updates also bring more visual presence to the sportier versions. The base MDX Tech is nicely equipped, while the Platinum Elite A-Spec blends maximum luxury with a sportier look.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.5-litre V6 makes 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque through a 10-speed automatic, and SH-AWD is standard on every MDX sold in Canada. It is not slow, but it is not especially quick either.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, Traffic Jam Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and low-speed automatic braking. The Type S Ultra adds front cross-traffic alert, evasive steering warning, active lane-change assist, and cornering speed assist.
• Infotainment: The new system uses a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Alexa Built-in and Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also supports AcuraLink connected services and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: Most MDX trims are rated at 11.2 L/100 km combined, while the Type S uses 12.4 L/100 km combined. In testing, the MDX averaged 15.3 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Acura MDX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Acura MDX is offered in 4 trim levels: MDX Tech, A-Spec, Platinum Elite A-Spec, and MDX Type S Ultra.

Here's the short version:

• MDX Tech: This is the best-value choice if you want the most accessible entry point into the refreshed MDX lineup. It is nicely equipped and gives you the core luxury, technology, and safety features without pushing the price too high.
• A-Spec: This trim adds a sportier look and sits in the middle of the range, making it a sensible step up if you want more visual flair without going all the way to the top.
• Platinum Elite A-Spec: This is the most luxurious non-Type S choice, and it combines maximum luxury with a sportier appearance. It is the trim to target if you want the richest feature set without moving into performance-focused territory.
• MDX Type S Ultra: This is the top trim and the one to choose if you want the strongest acceleration and handling. It also adds the most advanced safety hardware, but it is the priciest option.

The Type S Ultra gets additional safety hardware, while the rest of the lineup relies on the standard AcuraWatch suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Acura MDX?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you should be able to shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 151 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.88% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $60,330 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $60,330 CAD sits slightly below last year's $68,463 CAD.

That price movement suggests the MDX has become more approachable for used buyers, which can help demand in the near term. For a future seller, it also means you may need to price competitively if you want to stand out. The good news is that the MDX still has a strong value proposition thanks to its luxury feel, technology, and standard equipment.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX safe?

The 2025 MDX earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, Traffic Jam Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and low-speed automatic braking. The Type S Ultra adds front cross-traffic alert, evasive steering warning, active lane-change assist, and cornering speed assist.

The standard system performed well in testing, though there was one false lane-departure notification and some awkward behaviour at a tricky intersection. The lane-departure warning also uses a wobbling steering-wheel alert rather than a vibration, which may not suit every driver.

Should I buy a 2025 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.88% compared with last year.
• The refreshed cabin and easier-to-use technology make this year the most polished MDX yet.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $52,049 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $60,330 CAD average.
• It offers a well-rounded, comfortable, and refined package with strong engines and sharp handling.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the refreshed formula and adds only minor updates.
• It remains comfortable, quiet, and easy to live with.

The bottom line: If you want the most appealing version of the MDX’s formula, the 2025 is the one to target because the refresh improves the cabin and technology. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 makes sense only if you want the latest model-year badge without expecting meaningful changes.
