Used 2024 Toyota Tundra for Sale nearScarborough, ON

How much does the 2024 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 13.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 381 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — your 5/5 user rating lines up with an expert score of 6.2/10. The standout strength is Performance at 8/10.

The 2024 Toyota Tundra is aimed at you if you want a massive full-size pickup with a powerful i-Force Max drivetrain and an open-air driving experience that stands out in the segment. It also brings a TRD Pro version that is singled out for its ride and handling, which helps if you want a truck that feels more distinctive than many rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: the design may be polarising, forward visibility is poor, and the interior materials feel cheap. It also cannot match the towing and payload capacities of the segment leader, and it offers less variety in configurations than some alternatives.

34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Toyota’s reputation for dependability is a major part of the Tundra’s appeal, and the truck is described as having long-term durability as a selling point. The expert notes also point to Toyota’s engineering focus on reliability, even if the current third-generation truck still has a relatively short track record.

The performance notes show a truck built to work hard, with a strong hybrid powertrain and serious capability, but the long-term ownership picture is still being established for used buyers.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Tundra?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base trims miss some equipment that you can get on higher versions, including blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking unless you add an option package or move up to a Limited or higher.
• Powertrain: You get a twin-turbocharged 3.4-litre V6, with an i-Force Max hybrid version adding more power and standard 4WD.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, a road-sign recognition system, and automatic high-beam headlights.
• Infotainment: The truck has a 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and connected-services trials, plus a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel.
• Fuel efficiency: The TRD Pro averaged 16.5 L/100 km in testing, while Natural Resources Canada’s combined figure was 12.3 L/100 km.

Which 2024 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Tundra is offered in 5 trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, and Capstone.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the entry point if you want the Tundra nameplate at the lowest price, but you should expect the fewest features and the biggest equipment gaps.
• SR5: This is the sensible step-up choice if you want a better balance of equipment and value without chasing luxury trim pricing.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim if you want the strongest mix of features and access to more safety equipment.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for it.
• Capstone: This is the top-end choice if you want the most premium Tundra experience.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking require an option package on lower trims or a Limited or higher.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Tundra?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 381 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $54,704 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $54,704 CAD sits slightly below last year's $63,042 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also means a future seller may need to be more realistic about asking prices. If the market continues to normalise, resale values may stay under pressure compared with the prior year’s level.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2024 Tundra earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and five-star ratings across the board from NHTSA, with a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, a road-sign recognition system, and automatic high-beam headlights. On lower trims, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking require an option package, or you can get them on a Limited or higher.

There is one important caveat: the Tundra earns a Poor rating in the newer moderate overlap frontal-impact test that measures rear-seat passenger protection.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 stands out for its powerful i-Force Max drivetrain and TRD Pro ride and handling.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $50,630 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $54,704 CAD average.
• It feels more current than older Tundras thanks to its redesign and modern powertrain.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $59,920 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $54,704 CAD average.
• It adds new tech features and a more tech-forward interior.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-year value and capability, the 2024 is the main path to consider. If price matters most, the 2023 is the better budget-minded alternative, while the 2025 suits you if you want newer tech and can spend more.
