How much does the 2024 Toyota Sienna cost?

Prices have softened 7.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 209 listings available, which suggests you have some inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Toyota Sienna earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating, which points to a strong overall showing for family buyers. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

The Sienna’s appeal comes through clearly in its minivan practicality, three rows of seating, power sliding doors, and standard hybrid setup. It is also described as comfy, and Toyota’s optional all-wheel drive broadens its usefulness if you want extra traction.

The trade-offs are just as clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and the technology is dated. The second-row seats also cannot be removed, which limits flexibility compared with some rivals.

With 27.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sienna’s reliability case is helped by its standard hybrid powertrain and its reputation for being easy to live with as a family vehicle. The expert assessment also points to strong efficiency and a practical, comfort-focused design, which are both encouraging signs for day-to-day ownership.

Its hybrid setup is described as fuel-sipping, and Toyota’s warranty coverage for hybrid components and the battery adds another layer of reassurance. If you are buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about living with its slower performance and older tech.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Sienna?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE, XLE, XSE, and Limited trims give you a clear spread of equipment, with the base trim missing some of the nicer visual and comfort touches found higher up.
• Powertrain: Every Sienna is a hybrid with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and two electric motors, and AWD versions add a rear motor for extra traction.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes lane departure alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, road sign recognition, full-speed adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: You get a nine-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 7-inch digital display in the gauge cluster; the system is older, and some trims add navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: Front-wheel drive models are rated at 6.6 L/100 km city, 6.5 highway, and 6.6 combined, while AWD models are rated at 6.8 city, 6.6 highway, and 6.7 combined.

Which 2024 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Sienna is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused starting point, and it gives you the core Sienna formula with hybrid efficiency, three-row seating, and standard safety gear.
• XLE: This is the trim to target if you want a better balance of comfort and equipment without jumping all the way to the top end.
• XSE: This is the sportier-looking choice, with a black metallic mesh grille, black heated mirrors, 20-inch dark wheels, and leatherette-trimmed sport seats; it is the best-value pick if you want more style and a richer cabin feel.
• Limited: This is the most upscale version, adding the most premium-feeling equipment and the highest price point in the range.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the lineup, so even the lower trims give you a strong safety baseline.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 209 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.11% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $53,315 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $55,271 CAD sits slightly below last year's $59,502 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also suggests sellers may need to be realistic if they plan to trade or list the vehicle later. A model that has already moved down from its prior-year average can be easier to buy well, but future resale will still depend on how much demand remains for efficient family vehicles.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2024 Toyota Sienna earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover protection, and five-star ratings in side crash protection from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the board and includes lane departure alert, automatic emergency braking that can detect a pedestrian or cyclist, road sign recognition, full-speed adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.

The main caveat is that front crash prevention was rated as “Average” by IIHS, so that is the area to watch most closely if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines standard hybrid efficiency with optional all-wheel drive and plenty of standard safety equipment.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $50,975 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $55,271 CAD average.
• It delivers strong efficiency and everyday family practicality.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $59,181 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $55,271 CAD average.
• It adds a quieter cabin, easier tech, and the convenience of not removing second-row seats.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, efficiency, and standard safety, the 2024 is the sensible default. If your priority is spending less, the 2023 is the price-conscious path; if you want a more refined and easier-to-live-with version, the 2025 is the better upgrade.
