Is the 2024 Toyota Corolla a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner approval, and the 2024 Corolla’s appeal comes from its practicality, broader model range, and more modern equipment than earlier versions. You can choose a sedan or hatchback, with the sedan offering the lowest entry price and the hatchback focused on sportier trims. It also brings a useful mix of standard and available features, including wireless smartphone integration, push button start on most trims, and available all-wheel drive on the sedan and hybrid. Is the 2024 Toyota Corolla reliable?

The 2024 Corolla is described as well engineered and backed by a strong dependability record, with practicality and low running costs central to its appeal. It is also praised for ease of use, which matters if you want a car that stays straightforward to live with over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical drama and more about choosing the right trim and condition for your needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Corolla?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 411 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,781 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $25,861 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,367 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Corolla easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at a strong price, you may have a better chance of preserving value later because you are starting from a lower entry point. The Corolla’s broad appeal and practical reputation should help keep demand steady among used-car shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $27,418 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $25,861 CAD average.
• It adds a more polished, enjoyable driving experience.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2024 if you want the better value and a wider chance of finding a deal. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model with a more refined feel, the 2025 is the better secondary path.
