How much does the 2024 Subaru WRX cost?

Is the 2024 Subaru WRX a good car?

The 2024 Subaru WRX stands out as a practical performance car that still leans hard into its rally-bred identity. It comes standard with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and the WRX’s turbocharged Boxer engine and sharp handling are central to its appeal. For you, that means a compact sedan that feels more engaging than the average commuter car while still being usable every day.

It also offers a useful mix of everyday equipment and enthusiast hardware. The cabin includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the Sport trim adds an 11.6-inch touchscreen, Subaru’s EyeSight driver assistance suite, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane change assist. Higher trims add more comfort and convenience, including adaptive headlights, faux leather seats with microsuede inserts, navigation, heated rear seats, and adaptive dampers on the GT.

The 2024 Subaru WRX is a distinctive choice if you want year-round traction and a performance-focused driving experience in one package. 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Subaru WRX reliable?

The 2024 Subaru WRX is praised for being fun to drive, with great handling and standard all-wheel drive. It also keeps the formula that makes the model appealing to enthusiasts, including manual-transmission availability and a strong performance character.

At the same time, it is noted for outdated technology, poor fuel economy, and a cramped back seat in older models. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about living with the car’s compromises than expecting it to behave like a low-stress commuter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Subaru WRX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 220 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,850 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Subaru WRX's resale value?

The current average of $33,870 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,823 CAD.

That price movement suggests the WRX has softened enough to create a better entry point for you as a buyer. If you plan to sell later, the current market indicates you may need to price competitively to stand out. The good news is that the model’s enthusiast appeal and standard all-wheel drive should help it remain desirable if you keep it in strong condition.

Should I buy a 2024 Subaru WRX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.45% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,311 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $33,870 CAD average.
• It keeps the WRX’s established enthusiast appeal and manual-transmission draw.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing context and a decent share of deal-priced listings, the 2024 is the cleaner choice. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2023 is the better value path, especially if you find one in strong condition and equipped the way you want.
