Used 2024 Subaru Crosstrek for Sale nearBarrie, ON

How much does the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 9.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 730 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its build quality, comfort, handling, fuel efficiency, safety features, and value for money. It also fits well if you want a compact crossover with standard all-wheel drive and a practical, outdoorsy character.

The main trade-offs are the underwhelming base engine and the cheap-feeling interior materials. Even so, it makes the most sense if you want everyday practicality, extra confidence in poor weather, and a useful feature set in a compact package.

Only 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is somewhat selective rather than deeply discounted.

Is the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as dependable, with strong build quality and a trouble-free feel that supports confidence over time. The expert review also points to improved engine refinement, with less vibration during start-up and operation than before.

Subaru’s standard all-wheel drive and the Crosstrek’s durable, utility-focused design add to its long-term appeal. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that lower-trim versions may feel less satisfying if you expect stronger acceleration or a more upscale cabin.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Subaru Crosstrek?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gets 17-inch alloy wheels, 22 cm of ground clearance, and standard roof rails, but you’ll need to buy crossbars separately. Wilderness adds unique exterior and interior design elements, more ground clearance, a ladder-style roof rack, StarTex synthetic leather, all-weather floormats, and an interior cargo-area light.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine makes 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque, while the 2.5-litre four-cylinder returns 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The CVT is standard, and there is no manual transmission.
• Safety package: EyeSight is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. For 2024, it uses a wider-angle lens, and automatic emergency steering is included on cars equipped with blind-spot monitoring.
• Infotainment: The 11.6-inch touchscreen is standard on all but the Convenience trim. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, while a wireless charger is standard on the Onyx and Limited trims.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates 8.8 L/100 km in the city and 7.1 L/100 km on the highway for the 2.0-litre model. The 2.5-litre version is rated at 8.9 L/100 km city and 7.2 L/100 km highway.

Which 2024 Subaru Crosstrek trim should I buy?

The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek is offered in 4 trim levels: Convenience, Touring, Onyx, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Convenience: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Crosstrek’s core strengths: standard all-wheel drive, useful ground clearance, and the model’s rugged everyday character. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup.
• Touring: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more equipment while staying close to the core Crosstrek formula. It also gets paddle shifters, which may appeal if you want a bit more control from the CVT.
• Onyx: This trim is the better pick if you want the stronger 2.5-litre engine and the more advanced dual-function X-Mode system with mud and deep snow settings. It also adds a wireless charger.
• Limited: This is the most feature-rich mainstream trim, with the 2.5-litre engine, dual-function X-Mode, a wireless charger, and a 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. It suits you if you want the most comfort and tech without moving to Wilderness.

EyeSight is standard across the lineup, and automatic emergency steering is included on cars equipped with blind-spot monitoring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Subaru Crosstrek?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it rewards shoppers who compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 730 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.18% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,024 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $30,024 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,058 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also means a future seller may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. If you buy at the right number now, you may have less downside risk later than someone who paid closer to the previous year’s average.

The Crosstrek’s strong reputation for owner satisfaction should help support demand over time. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

EyeSight is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. For 2024, Subaru says it uses a wider-angle lens, and automatic emergency steering is included on cars equipped with blind-spot monitoring.

Should I buy a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings multiple engine options, a new Wilderness trim level, upgraded safety features, and a standard all-wheel-drive setup that suits Canadian weather and rougher roads.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the right pick if you want the refreshed Crosstrek with its stronger tech and safety story, plus the added appeal of the Wilderness trim. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2024 is the better all-round choice if you value the updated package and can find a well-priced listing.
