Used 2024 Subaru Crosstrek for Sale nearAjax, ON

How much does the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 9.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 614 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.83/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its build quality, comfort, and handling, and many also value its fuel efficiency, safety features, and value for money. In practical terms, that lines up well with a small crossover that is aimed at buyers who want standard AWD, useful technology, and everyday versatility.

The main trade-offs are the underwhelming base engine and the cheap-feeling interior materials. That means you’ll likely appreciate it most if you care more about capability and features than outright refinement or brisk acceleration.

With 29.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some room for selective shoppers.

Is the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels reliable, dependable, and trouble-free enough for buyers who want something they can count on over time. The Crosstrek’s standard AWD and practical layout reinforce that reputation for everyday use.

Subaru’s updated powertrain tuning also helps the Crosstrek feel more settled and less rough in daily driving, which supports confidence in long-term ownership. For used buyers, the main risk is not outright fragility so much as choosing a trim and engine combination that matches your expectations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Subaru Crosstrek?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, 22 centimetres of ground clearance, and standard roof rails, but the Wilderness trim adds unique exterior and interior design elements, StarTex synthetic leather, all-weather floormats, and an interior cargo-area light. If you want the most rugged setup, the Wilderness stands apart clearly.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-litre four-cylinder makes 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque, while the 2.5-litre four-cylinder makes 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The CVT is standard, and there is no manual transmission.
• Safety package: EyeSight is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. For 2024, it also uses a wider-angle lens, and automatic emergency steering is included on cars equipped with blind-spot monitoring.
• Infotainment: The 11.6-inch touchscreen is standard on all but the Convenience trim. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, and the wireless charger is standard on the Onyx and Limited trims.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates 8.8 L/100 km in the city and 7.1 L/100 km on the highway for the 2.0-litre model. The 2.5-litre version is rated at 8.9 L/100 km city and 7.2 L/100 km highway.

Which 2024 Subaru Crosstrek trim should I buy?

The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek is offered in 4 trim levels: Convenience, Touring, Onyx, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Convenience: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Crosstrek’s core appeal: standard AWD, useful ground clearance, roof rails, and EyeSight safety tech. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and can live without the larger infotainment setup.
• Touring: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday usability while keeping the Crosstrek’s practical formula intact. It also gets paddle shifters, which can make the driving experience feel a bit more polished.
• Onyx: This trim is the better pick if you want the stronger 2.5-litre engine and the more advanced dual-function X-Mode with mud and deep snow settings. It also adds the wireless charger, making it a strong choice for buyers who want more capability and convenience.
• Limited: This is the most feature-rich mainstream trim, with the 2.5-litre engine, dual-function X-Mode, wireless charger, and the 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. It suits you best if you want the most complete Crosstrek without moving into the Wilderness.

EyeSight is standard across the lineup, and automatic emergency steering is included on cars equipped with blind-spot monitoring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Subaru Crosstrek?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 614 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,215 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $30,215 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,324 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also suggests future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment if market conditions stay similar. A lower current average often means there is less room for appreciation in the short term, especially if supply remains healthy.

Even so, the Crosstrek’s broad appeal should help support demand over time. Buyers who want standard AWD, strong utility, and a well-liked ownership experience tend to keep this model on shopping lists.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek safe?

The Subaru Crosstrek has been awarded a Top Safety Pick designation by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) since 2013. It also earned five-star overall ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on the previous model year, and Subaru expects the 2024 model to perform similarly.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

EyeSight is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. For 2024, Subaru widened the camera view, and automatic emergency steering is available on cars equipped with blind-spot monitoring.

Should I buy a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a refreshed cabin, a larger touchscreen, upgraded safety features, and a new Wilderness trim level.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date Crosstrek formula with standard AWD, stronger tech, and a broader trim mix, the 2024 model is the one to target. If your priority is simply the lowest purchase price, a nearby older year may be worth a look, but you’ll be giving up some of the refresh benefits that make this version more appealing.
