Is the 2024 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 RAM 3500 earns a 5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal if you want a heavy-duty truck that still feels usable as a daily driver. The overview points to serious capability, with class-leading maximum towing and payload capacities, plus the kind of technology and comfort features many buyers expect today. Is the 2024 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the 2024 RAM 3500 is built around serious work-truck strength, with a strong frame and heavy-duty capability that should appeal if you need a truck for demanding use. At the same time, its size, diesel noise, and limited safety technology are worth weighing carefully if you plan to live with it every day. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is whether the truck’s scale and complexity match your actual needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently while still being ready to move on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 347 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $71,422 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $71,422 CAD sits slightly below last year's $85,777 CAD.

That price movement suggests future sellers may need to be realistic about where the market is headed if they plan to trade in or list the truck later. A softer current average can improve your buying position now, but it also means resale expectations should stay grounded if the market remains competitive. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 RAM 3500 makes the most sense if you want heavy-duty capability with modern tech and comfort, and you value a market that has softened enough to create some buying leverage. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 is the better fit when you want the strongest mix of capability and current-market value.
