How much does the 2024 RAM 3500 cost?

Prices have softened 15.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2024 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 RAM 3500 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner approval. It stands out as a heavy-duty truck that blends serious capability with the kind of technology and comfort you expect in a daily driver, and its appeal is especially strong if you prioritise towing, payload, and upscale convenience. The truck’s powerful Cummins turbo diesel engine, available 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, and 12-inch vertical infotainment system help it feel more modern than a bare-bones work truck. With 31.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to shop from.

Is the 2024 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 RAM 3500’s appeal comes from its established heavy-duty formula, with serious towing and payload capability paired with a more upscale cabin and useful technology. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the truck’s core mission and more about whether you can live with its size, noisy diesel character, and limited safety technology.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 RAM 3500?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 379 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.72% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $70,549 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $70,549 CAD sits slightly below last year's $83,710 CAD.

That price movement suggests the truck has already given up some value, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the current market means you may need to price competitively to stand out, especially if similar trucks are listed near the lower end of the range. Strong capability and a well-equipped cabin should still help keep buyer interest steady.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the refreshed, well-equipped version of the RAM 3500 without waiting for a major redesign, especially if towing and payload matter most. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2024 is the better fit when you want capability, comfort, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities.
