Is the 2024 Porsche 911 a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Porsche 911 earns a 4/5 user rating, which supports its reputation as a sports car that blends classic engineering with modern drivetrains. The overview points to broad performance appeal, from the Carrera’s turbocharged 3.0-litre flat-six and dual-clutch transmission to the Carrera S and 4S with available manual transmission, so you can choose a version that fits how you like to drive. It also remains a car with limited passenger and cargo space, so it suits you best if performance matters more than practicality.

Is the 2024 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the 911’s appeal comes from its established formula, strong value retention, and a generation that has earned praise for performance and iconic styling. For used buyers, that usually means you should focus on maintenance history and condition, because a premium sports car can carry higher long-term ownership risk if it has been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Porsche 911?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you are comparing listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 135 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.01% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $255,371 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $266,571 CAD sits slightly below last year's $299,561 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, but it can also create a stronger entry point for future resale if you buy well. Because the 911 sits in a desirable segment with strong brand appeal, a clean example bought near the lower end of the range may hold up better than a poorly priced one. If you plan to sell later, condition, mileage, and specification will matter a lot.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $263,023 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $266,571 CAD average.
• It broadens the 911 lineup with several new variants while keeping the core identity intact.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $274,425 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $266,571 CAD average.
• It adds a refreshed look and improved everyday usability.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of current pricing, deal availability, and proven appeal, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the better value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer refresh and are willing to pay more.
