CarGurus Analysis: 2024 Nissan Murano
Summary
With 203 currently listed for sale and an average price of $34,406 CAD, 29.6% of 2024 Nissan Murano listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2024 Nissan Murano 5 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2024 Nissan Murano stands out as a midsize SUV that has long leaned into comfort and style rather than outright sportiness. By this point in its third generation, it had already moved toward a more refined, family-friendly character, and it still offered a 3.5-litre V6 with 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. It also used a continuously variable transmission, which Nissan’s own history with the Murano shows was a defining part of the model’s identity, even if it was not always the most engaging setup.
What makes the 2024 model appealing is the way it balances a premium-feeling cabin with useful everyday equipment. The Murano’s interior was described as a big step forward in design and quality, with a clean, minimal look created by fewer physical controls. It also offered more spacious front seats, while the cargo area could hold up to 931 litres. On the safety side, the Murano’s available features had broadened over time, and the model had a strong crash-test record, including top marks from the IIHS in its generation. At the same time, it was not perfect: the rear seats lost more than five centimetres of legroom, the cargo area was still somewhat small for a midsize SUV, and the sloping rear window could make bulkier items harder to load.
For buyers, the 2024 Nissan Murano’s main draw is its polished, comfortable personality. It was tuned more for comfort than sporty driving, yet it could still reach 100 km/h in roughly 7.5 seconds, which was quick for the class. Fuel economy was also respectable at 10.2 to 10.6 L/100 km combined in later model years. The trade-off is that it was never the most exciting SUV to drive, and its value proposition had become less compelling by the end of the generation, but for shoppers prioritising a smooth ride, a well-finished cabin, and a distinctive look, it remained an appealing choice.

How much does the 2024 Nissan Murano cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $34,359 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $33,466 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $36,434 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $36,434 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −5.69% |
Prices have softened 5.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 202 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2024 Nissan Murano a good car?
Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Nissan Murano, and it fits a midsize SUV that leans into comfort and style rather than outright sportiness. The cabin is described as a big step forward in design and quality, with a clean, minimal layout, more spacious front seats, and a premium-feeling interior. It also suits you well if you want a smooth, family-friendly daily driver with a distinctive look and useful everyday equipment. 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2024 Nissan Murano reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The 2024 Murano is presented as a comfort-focused SUV with a strong crash-test record in its generation and a history of broadening safety features over time. Its refined cabin and established powertrain layout should appeal if you want a used SUV that feels settled and familiar rather than experimental. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a comfort-first design can still come with compromises in practicality and driving engagement.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Murano?
It looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.
- Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 202 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.69% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $33,466 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Nissan Murano's resale value?
The current average of $34,359 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,434 CAD.
That softer pricing suggests the Murano has become easier to buy, but it also means future sellers may face some pressure if the market stays cautious. If you own one and keep it in strong condition, the model’s comfort-focused appeal can still help it stand out to shoppers who value a refined cabin and smooth road manners. The current pricing trend points to steady but not especially strong appreciation potential in the near term.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.69% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2025 if:
- At $47,078 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $34,359 CAD average.
- It brings a new powertrain and a broader set of new features.
The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the better value and a comfort-first Murano with plenty of inventory to compare. Consider the 2025 if you want the newer redesign and are willing to pay a significant premium for it.
