Is the 2024 Nissan Frontier a good car?

Yes — 4.75/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. The 2024 Frontier stands out as a midsize pickup that blends rugged styling with real work-truck capability, while its standard four-wheel drive in Canada adds appeal if you want a truck that feels ready for tougher conditions. It also brings a broad mix of trims and equipment, including strong towing capability and a well-rounded feature set for shoppers who want a capable, well-equipped pickup with rugged character. With 38.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Nissan Frontier reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Frontier’s straightforward mechanical setup and carryover powertrain suggest a familiar ownership experience, and its broad equipment list points to a truck designed to handle daily use as well as tougher conditions. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the truck’s condition and maintenance history match its work-truck mission.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Frontier?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 86 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.96% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,779 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Frontier's resale value?

The current average of $47,884 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,028 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the truck easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your return will depend more on condition, mileage, and trim desirability than on broad market momentum. A well-kept example should still hold interest because shoppers continue to value its rugged character and capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Frontier or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,163 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $47,884 CAD average.
• It offers a straightforward, well-liked setup with strong value.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $53,923 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,884 CAD average.
• It adds more standard safety tech and a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want a balanced mix of capability, equipment, and current-market pricing. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value path; if you want newer features and can stretch your budget, the 2025 is the upgrade route.
