The performance notes also suggest the GLC is engineered with a clear focus on capability and efficiency, rather than gimmicks.

Mercedes includes a first scheduled maintenance visit on the house, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that some desirable features are optional, so you should verify equipment carefully before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base GLC 300 gives you the core luxury crossover experience, but the AMG GLC 43 adds more power and a sportier character. The base model is the better fit if you want the most balanced value, while the AMG version suits you if performance matters more than comfort.
• Powertrain: In Canada, all versions use 4Matic all-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The GLC 300 uses a mild-hybrid turbo-four with 255 hp, while the AMG GLC 43 uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 416 horsepower and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes active brake assist, attention assist, blind-spot and exit warning assist, adaptive braking technology, adaptive high beams, heated and rain-sensing wipers, active parking assist, and Pre-Safe. Adaptive cruise control, active steering assist, active lane-keeping assist, and traffic sign assist cost extra.
• Infotainment: You get an 11.9-inch centre screen with the third-generation MBUX system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a highly usable voice-command system. Navigation, a 15-speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system, a head-up display, augmented reality navigation, and additional USB-C ports are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The GLC 300 SUV and Coupe are rated at 9.0 L/100 km combined, while the AMG GLC 43 SUV is rated at 11.2 L/100 km combined and the AMG GLC 43 Coupe at 11.4 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC is offered in 2 trim levels: GLC 300 4Matic and AMG GLC 43.

Here's the short version:

• GLC 300 4Matic: This is the trim to target if you want the best-value path into the GLC lineup. It gives you the core luxury feel, standard all-wheel drive, the efficient mild-hybrid turbo-four, and the same strong tech foundation without paying for the AMG’s extra performance.
• AMG GLC 43: Choose this if you want the more powerful, enthusiast-focused version. It brings 416 horsepower, quicker-shifting hardware, and a sportier suspension, but it also rides firmer and is less suited to commuting comfort.

Standard safety features include active brake assist, attention assist, blind-spot and exit warning assist, adaptive braking technology, adaptive high beams, heated and rain-sensing wipers, active parking assist, and Pre-Safe. Adaptive cruise control, active steering assist, active lane-keeping assist, and traffic sign assist remain optional.

• Inventory: There are 230 listings available.

The current average of $54,564 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,261 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing if they want to move quickly. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. The GLC’s premium badge and strong safety reputation should still help support demand over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• AMG variants return for 2024, broadening the lineup and giving you more choice.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $48,749 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $54,564 CAD average.
• It offers a conservative redesign with a polished, upscale feel.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $67,468 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $54,564 CAD average.
• It adds a new plug-in hybrid variant and more practical appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, safety, and premium feel, the 2024 is the strongest all-around pick. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter value play; if you want newer features and can spend more, the 2025 is the upgrade path.
