Is the 2024 Lincoln Aviator a good car?

The 2024 Lincoln Aviator stands out as a midsize, three-row luxury SUV that leans heavily into Lincoln’s quiet-luxury formula. It is described as smooth, hushed, and richly trimmed, with aeronautical styling themes woven into its colours and design. It is also positioned as a more manageable alternative to Lincoln’s larger SUV, which helps give it broader appeal if you want luxury without something oversized.

For 2024, its appeal is strengthened by standard all-wheel drive in Canada, a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6, and the availability of a plug-in hybrid powertrain in the Grand Touring trim. Standard equipment includes second-row bench seats, three-zone climate control, Sync 3 infotainment with a touchscreen, automatic emergency braking, blind spot information system, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keeping system, and automatic headlights. Available upgrades such as a 14-speaker Revel audio system, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive steering, adaptive suspension with road preview, Phone-As-A-Key, and a wireless charging pad help reinforce its upscale character.

The market also shows 36.1% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Lincoln Aviator reliable?

The 2024 Lincoln Aviator is presented as a refined, quiet, and well-equipped luxury SUV with a strong focus on comfort and upscale features. Its standard all-wheel drive, available plug-in hybrid powertrain, and long list of driver-assistance and convenience equipment support that premium positioning.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its luxury complexity can make maintenance and repairs more expensive than a mainstream SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lincoln Aviator?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 122 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $56,944 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lincoln Aviator's resale value?

The current average of $58,337 CAD sits slightly below last year's $68,931 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favour, which can make the Aviator easier to purchase now than it was a year ago. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale values to reflect the softer pricing environment rather than a strong premium. If you buy well today, you may be better protected against immediate depreciation than someone who paid closer to last year’s average.

Should I buy a 2024 Lincoln Aviator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.37% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $50,221 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $58,337 CAD average.
• It prioritises comfort and serenity over sporty driving.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $72,790 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $58,337 CAD average.
• It adds more advanced technology and fresh styling.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around path if you want a well-equipped, more affordable Aviator with a softer market price and decent deal availability. If your priority is spending less, the 2023 is the value play; if you want newer tech and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the upgrade path.
