Used 2024 Kia Seltos for Sale nearVancouver, BC

How much does the 2024 Kia Seltos cost?

Prices have softened 11.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 733 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 Kia Seltos a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Seltos earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its features, comfort, handling, spaciousness, and safety options, and they also like the stylish design. For you, that means the Seltos fits especially well if you want a practical small crossover with useful space and easy-to-use technology.

The main trade-offs are that the base engine feels underpowered and the optional turbo engine suffers from low-speed turbo-lag. Even so, the 2024 refresh gives it updated tech and modest styling tweaks, so it still feels current without changing its core formula.

With 31.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still a decent amount of value-oriented inventory to consider.

Is the 2024 Kia Seltos reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with praise centred on features, comfort, handling, spaciousness, and safety options. That kind of feedback is encouraging if you want a used crossover you can count on day to day.

The expert assessment also supports that impression by highlighting the Seltos as a well-rounded, practical small SUV with useful space and modern tech. Its strong cost-effectiveness score suggests it should make sense for long-term ownership if you value utility over luxury.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained properly and that any issues tied to its powertrain or equipment have been addressed.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Seltos?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX includes 17-inch alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, fog lights, heated front seats and side mirrors, manually adjustable front seats, two USB ports, air conditioning, remote keyless entry, Bluetooth connectivity, and an 8-inch touchscreen. Higher trims add a sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start, a fully digital instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, a premium stereo, and Kia’s digital key, while the X-Line focuses on styling changes. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more equipment.
• Powertrain: The base 2.0-litre four-cylinder makes 146 horsepower and uses an IVT. The turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder makes 195 horsepower and pairs with an eight-speed automatic. The base setup is the efficiency play, while the turbo engine brings stronger acceleration but can feel laggy at lower speeds.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keep assist and lane-departure warning, lane-follow assist, automatic high beams, driver attention warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and Safe Exit Warning. EX Premium adds smart adaptive cruise control, while SX adds traffic sign recognition, highway driving assist, a junction-turning function, and drive-away warning.
• Infotainment: The base system uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upper trims upgrade to a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument panel, and the system keeps physical volume and tuning controls for easier day-to-day use.
• Fuel efficiency: The base 2.0-litre engine with FWD returns 8.3 L/100 km city, 6.8 highway, and 7.6 combined. With AWD, it returns 8.8 city, 7.5 highway, and 8.2 combined. The 1.6-litre turbo-four returns 9.4 city, 8.7 highway, and 9.1 combined.

Which 2024 Kia Seltos trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Seltos is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, EX Premium, SX, and X-Line.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already gives you heated front seats, heated side mirrors, fog lights, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a strong standard safety list. If you want the lowest entry price and can live without the bigger screens and extra convenience features, this is the trim to start with.
• EX: This trim adds a sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start, solar glass, LED daytime running lights, and upgraded upholstery. It’s the better pick if you want a more polished everyday experience without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• EX Premium: This is the best-value upgrade if you want the most meaningful comfort and tech gains, including the fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charging pad, rear cargo cover, and smart adaptive cruise control. It also gets AWD standard, which makes it especially appealing if you want more capability without moving all the way to the top trims.
• SX: This trim brings the stronger turbo engine, 18-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, a leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, a Bose premium stereo, and Kia’s digital key. Choose it if you want the most performance and the richest feature set.
• X-Line: This is the styling-led top trim in Canada, with unique exterior details, gloss black 18-inch wheels, black roof rails, and the turbo powertrain with AWD. It suits you best if appearance matters as much as equipment.

The safety package is strongest once you move past the EX and into EX Premium or higher, where you gain more advanced driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Seltos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 733 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.01% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,888 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $26,144 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,381 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be good news if you’re buying now but less favourable if you’re planning to sell soon. A softer used market can mean more competition among sellers, so you may need to price your vehicle more aggressively to stand out.

For a future seller, the upside is that the Seltos still has broad appeal thanks to its practicality, standard safety equipment, and useful cabin space. If demand stays steady, those strengths should help support resale value better than a less versatile small crossover.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Seltos safe?

The 2024 Kia Seltos earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver assistance features include forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keep assist and lane-departure warning, lane-follow assist, automatic high beams, driver attention warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and Safe Exit Warning.

If you want more advanced assistance, you need to move past the EX trim. EX Premium adds smart adaptive cruise control that can stop and go with traffic and uses navigation data to predict curves. SX adds traffic sign recognition, highway driving assist, a junction-turning function for forward collision warning, and drive-away warning.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh brings updated tech and modest styling tweaks while keeping the Seltos’s practical formula intact.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this small crossover’s core strengths, the 2024 model is the one to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby model year may still make sense, but you’ll want to compare equipment carefully because the 2024 update adds useful tech and a more modern feel.
