Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Wrangler has plenty of powertrains and off-road systems available, but every model shares the same burly, body-on-frame look. Base models can miss some of the capability-focused equipment found on higher trims, while the Willys trim adds Offroad+ mode, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and rock rails.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, a 3.6-litre V6, a 6.4-litre V8, or a plug-in hybrid setup. The 4xe stands out for combining strong output with 35 kilometres of all-electric range.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model. Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional, except on the High Altitude and 392 models. There is no lane-keeping assist, lane-follow or other highway assist feature available.
• Infotainment: Every 2024 Wrangler gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Uconnect5. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system also adds a wireless hotspot, dual Bluetooth phone pairing, and up to five user profiles.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel economy ranges from 4.8 litres-equivalent per 100 kilometres combined in the 4xe to 16.8 L/100 km combined with the 6.4-litre V8. Most models land in the mid-11s to mid-13s L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 1 trim level: Wrangler.

Here's the short version:

The Wrangler lineup is broad, but the information provided here points to the Willys as the best-value choice because it adds meaningful off-road hardware without jumping all the way to the pricier Rubicon. If you want maximum capability, the Rubicon and 392 variants are the more specialised picks, while the 4xe suits buyers who want stronger efficiency and electric driving range.

The safety package is not fully standard across the range, so check carefully for the driver-assistance features you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 878 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.97% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $44,880 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $44,927 CAD sits slightly below last year's $53,468 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more attractive level today, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to normalise. A lower entry price can support demand from value-focused shoppers, especially if the vehicle is well equipped and in strong condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler has not yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep finally integrated first- and second-row side-curtain airbags for 2024. Forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model, while blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control and park assist are optional, except on the High Altitude and 392 models.

A key caveat is that there is no lane-keeping assist, lane-follow or other highway assist feature available on the Wrangler.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds a mid-cycle refresh focused on technology, safety, and refinement.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $38,242 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $44,927 CAD average.
• It prioritises off-road capability over creature comforts.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $52,647 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $44,927 CAD average.
• It adds standard power windows and door locks.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version with stronger tech and safety updates, the 2024 is the better all-round pick. If price matters most, the 2023 is the value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the latest updates and are willing to pay more.
