Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a three-row midsize SUV that blends genuine off-road ability with a cabin that feels more upscale than many rivals, while also offering strong towing capability and space for six adults, or seven with the available second-row bench. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a family hauler that still keeps Jeep’s trail-focused character. Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Grand Cherokee L is presented as a refined, capability-focused three-row SUV with a spacious interior and strong towing ability, which are the kinds of traits many used buyers value over time. Its mix of comfort, utility, and off-road hardware suggests it can be a satisfying ownership choice if those strengths match your needs. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying a premium for a vehicle whose higher running costs and capability-focused hardware may not suit every household.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you have a meaningful chance of finding a competitive offer.
• Inventory: There are 319 listings available, which gives you enough choice to compare trims and prices.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.42% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,194 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $42,194 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,097 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current lower entry point means your eventual resale value will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is equipped, maintained, and positioned against similar listings. If you buy at the right price now, you reduce the risk of being upside down later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,082 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $42,194 CAD average.
• It keeps the classic Jeep look and 4x4 hardware.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the stronger current-market value story and are shopping for a three-row SUV with upscale appeal, towing strength, and off-road capability. Consider the 2023 if your priority is saving a bit more upfront while still getting the same basic family-friendly Jeep formula.
