Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. It stands out as a three-row midsize SUV that blends genuine off-road ability with a cabin that feels more upscale than many rivals, while also offering strong towing capability and space for six adults, or seven with the available second-row bench. For you, that means it fits well if you want a family hauler that still keeps Jeep’s trail-focused character. The market also shows 27.4% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is presented as a well-rounded three-row SUV with a refined cabin, strong towing ability, and genuine off-road hardware. Its trade-offs are more about performance and efficiency than basic usefulness, with the V6 described as lacking punch and the V8 noted for poor fuel economy. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing the wrong powertrain for your needs and ending up with higher running costs than expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 314 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,469 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $42,469 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,482 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle more approachable for you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should be set with the current softer pricing in mind. If demand stays steady, the model’s mix of space, refinement, and capability should help support interest, but the recent decline shows you should not expect a strong short-term appreciation story.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $40,780 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $42,469 CAD average.
• It offers a more comfort-focused, premium-feeling take on the three-row Jeep formula.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the current-year pricing context and a broad set of listings to compare. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the better path because it undercuts the current average while keeping the same core appeal.
