Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a midsize three-row SUV that blends off-road ability, strong towing capacity, and a spacious, luxuriously refined interior. It was designed to sit between the standard Grand Cherokee and the full-size Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, so you get family-hauler space without losing Jeep’s more adventurous character. For buyers who want a three-row SUV that feels more distinctive than the average family crossover, that combination is compelling.

With 30.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market offers a meaningful number of attractive opportunities.

Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Grand Cherokee L is described as a well-equipped and versatile choice, with a broad set of driver-assistance features and a cabin that leans upscale. Its appeal comes from capability, interior space, and premium equipment rather than from a simple, stripped-down formula. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that higher complexity and premium features can mean more to evaluate carefully before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 324 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,512 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $42,512 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,616 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you purchase at the current average, your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim. A well-kept example with desirable equipment should still attract interest, especially because the model’s mix of space and capability remains distinctive.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $40,998 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $42,512 CAD average.
• It offers a comfort-focused three-row SUV with premium materials and polished road manners.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the stronger current-market value story and are shopping for a well-equipped three-row SUV with broad appeal. Consider the 2023 if your priority is saving money up front and you still want the Grand Cherokee L’s spacious, premium-feeling package.
