How much does the 2024 Hyundai Tucson cost?

There are 639 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for you to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Hyundai Tucson earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its great features, sleek design, value for money, spacious interior, and modern technology. The Tucson is also framed as a well-rounded compact SUV that gives you good passenger and cargo space, a refined cabin, and an attractive price tag.

The trade-offs are worth keeping in mind: the infotainment system can be frustrating, and the powertrain is described as disappointing despite its energetic turbocharged character. If you want a small SUV that prioritises balance, space, and value over one standout trait, the Tucson fits that brief well.

There are 28.0% good or great deals in the market, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its value, modern technology, and spacious interior. The expert assessment also supports that impression by describing the Tucson as a well-rounded SUV with a comfortable cabin and helpful technology.

Hyundai’s 5-year/100,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty adds another layer of confidence for you as a used buyer. Even so, you should still check service records carefully, since long-term ownership risk always depends on how well the previous owner maintained the vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Tucson?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Preferred trim gives you 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen. The Trend package adds a power-adjustable driver’s seat, leatherette upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and two more USB ports. The N Line adds 19-inch alloy wheels, sporty accents, ambient lighting, paddle shifters, aluminium pedals, and a Bose 8-speaker sound system. The Luxury trim adds heated outboard rear seats, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, and rear occupant alert and rear parking distance warning. The Ultimate trim adds ventilated front seats, genuine leather upholstery, memory settings, and the most advanced driver-assistance features.
• Powertrain: The standard gas model uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. It is described as fine around town, but less convincing for highway passing and not especially quick.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Higher trims add front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, Smart Park remote-parking, and a blind-spot camera system.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a fully digital instrument panel. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are wired, not wireless, and the volume control setup is less intuitive than a traditional dial.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard gas-only powertrain returns 10.0 L/100 km in city driving, 7.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Hyundai Tucson trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Tucson is offered in 4 trim levels: Preferred, N Line, Luxury, and Ultimate.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already gives you a strong equipment list with heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and the 10.25-inch touchscreen. If you want the best balance of price and everyday features, this is the trim to start with.
• N Line: This trim adds the sportier visual and cabin touches, plus the Bose audio system and paddle shifters. It suits you if you want a more expressive Tucson without moving to the top of the range.
• Luxury: This is the comfort-oriented step up, adding heated outboard rear seats, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, and extra rear-seat safety alerts. It makes sense if you regularly carry passengers and want more convenience.
• Ultimate: This is the most fully equipped version, with ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, memory settings, a surround-view camera, Smart Park, and the blind-spot camera system. It is the one to choose if you want the most advanced safety and parking tech.

The Ultimate trim gets the most advanced driver-assistance features, while the base Preferred already includes a strong standard safety package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 639 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,958 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $28,958 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,182 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help support demand in the near term. For a future seller, the softer market means you may need to price competitively if you want to move the vehicle quickly.

The Tucson’s broad appeal helps offset some of that pressure. Buyers tend to respond well to strong owner satisfaction, good space, and a well-equipped cabin, all of which can support resale interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson safe?

The 2024 Tucson earns Good ratings in most phases of IIHS crash testing, an Acceptable rating for its standard headlights, and a Superior rating for crash-prevention technology. It also earned five-star ratings in a frontal crash test and four-star ratings in a rollover test from NHTSA.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Higher trims add front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, Smart Park remote-parking, and a blind-spot camera system. The main caveat is that the standard headlights are not among the Tucson’s strongest safety results.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 28.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 Tucson is presented as a well-rounded compact SUV with a refined cabin, good space, and strong safety features.

The bottom line: If you want a balanced compact SUV with strong safety, good space, and a softer used-market price than last year, the 2024 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also keep shopping the broader Tucson market for the best deal, but the 2024 already offers a compelling mix of value and equipment.
