How much does the 2024 Hyundai Palisade cost?

Prices have softened 12.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 443 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Hyundai Palisade earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, abundant tech features, comfortable driving experience, and generous room for passengers. The Palisade’s family-friendly packaging and upscale character also come through clearly in the overview, where it’s framed as a terrific family hauler with a more polished feel than many rivals.

The main trade-offs are its potentially polarizing design and poor fuel economy. It also lacks wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you’ll want to be comfortable with a wired connection for those features.

With 35.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s a solid amount of market choice for you to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with many owners highlighting the Palisade’s comfortable feel, generous room, and strong value. The expert evaluation also supports that impression by describing it as a well-rounded SUV with strong substance and thoughtful packaging.

Hyundai’s five-year, 100,000-kilometre warranty and five years of roadside assistance add peace of mind for used buyers. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about durability and more about whether the Palisade’s fuel economy and feature set match your expectations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Palisade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The two trims are Urban and Ultimate Calligraphy. The Ultimate Calligraphy adds a more luxurious cabin with features such as an artificial suede headliner, quality upholstery, metal speaker grilles, striped dashboard and door trim, and wireless charging, while the Urban is the more accessible entry point.
• Powertrain: Every Palisade uses a 3.8-litre V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. It has plenty of power, but fuel economy is not a strength.
• Safety package: Hyundai’s standard suite includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a blind-spot view camera system, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, intersection assist, safe exit assist, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear-seat reminder system. Highway Driving Assist is also standard, while lane-change assist is added on Ultimate Calligraphy.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and rear-seat Quiet Mode. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but they require a cable; wireless charging is included only on Ultimate Calligraphy.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says an AWD Palisade should use 11.1 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 15.0 L/100 km on the evaluation loop.

Which 2024 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 2 trim levels: Urban and Ultimate Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• Urban: This is the value-focused choice if you want the Palisade’s core strengths — space, standard AWD, strong safety equipment, and the full-size 12.3-inch tech setup — without paying for the most luxurious touches.
• Ultimate Calligraphy: This is the best-value trim if you want the most upscale Palisade experience, with the richer cabin materials, wireless charging, and added convenience and safety tech.

The safety package is generous across the lineup, and Highway Driving Assist is standard on both trims, with lane-change assist reserved for Ultimate Calligraphy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Palisade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 443 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,813 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Palisade's resale value?

The current average of $42,814 CAD sits slightly below last year's $49,175 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it can also mean future sellers may need to price more competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Strong demand for a well-equipped, family-friendly SUV should still help support resale interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2024 Palisade earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it gets five-star ratings for side-impact collisions and a four-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Hyundai equips it with a generous safety suite that includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a blind-spot view camera system, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, intersection assist, safe exit assist, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear-seat reminder system. Highway Driving Assist is standard, pairing adaptive cruise control with curve speed control and lane-centring assist.

A key caveat is that the IIHS rating does not reflect the new moderate overlap frontal-impact test for rear occupant safety, and NHTSA frontal crash results are incomplete.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong value, upscale materials, and a well-equipped safety and tech package.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $38,585 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $42,814 CAD average.
• It offers a refreshed look with a broader set of standard and optional technology and safety features.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $47,908 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $42,814 CAD average.
• It remains a well-rounded three-row SUV and marks the final year of the current generation.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of value, equipment, and market choice, the 2024 is the sensible pick. If price matters most, the 2023 is the better entry point; if you want a later-year version and are comfortable paying more, the 2025 is still worth a look.
