Used 2024 Genesis GV70 for Sale nearEdmonton, AB

How much does the 2024 Genesis GV70 cost?

Prices have softened 7.22% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 150 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 Genesis GV70 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Genesis GV70 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as a distinctive take on the small luxury SUV theme, with stylish design, impressive technology, and multiple powertrain options. It also offers an all-electric powertrain option, which gives you something many rivals do not.

The trade-offs are that the ergonomic design is not especially strong, and the ride and handling are only adequate. If you want a fresh-feeling luxury crossover with a strong style focus and an electric variant, this year’s GV70 fits that brief well.

The market shows 28.7% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Genesis GV70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GV70 is still relatively fresh in the market, and its powertrain lineup is described as unchanged for 2024. That consistency can be reassuring if you want a used luxury SUV without a lot of model-year churn. The electric version also uses a 77.4-kWh battery pack and standard AWD, while the gasoline models pair their engines with an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD.

Genesis includes five years/100,000 km of comprehensive warranty, scheduled maintenance, at-home concierge service for test drives, purchasing, and service appointments, and map updates.

For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is that the GV70’s premium features and technology may be more expensive to maintain once warranty coverage ends.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Genesis GV70?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GV70’s styling and cabin details are a major part of its appeal, with available quilted Nappa leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and distinctive interior design touches. The base setup is less richly equipped than higher grades, so check whether the features you want are present before you buy.
• Powertrain: You can shop gasoline models with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder or a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6, and there is also an Electrified GV70 with front and rear electric motors and a 77.4-kWh battery pack. The electric version also offers a Boost Mode for short bursts of extra output.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, parking assist sensors, and Highway Driving Assist. Highway Driving Assist 2 adds automated lane-change capability and blind-spot monitoring.
• Infotainment: All GV70 models come with a 14.5-inch touchscreen and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Lower trims get an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, while higher grades get a 12.3-inch unit. A 12-inch head-up display and a 16-speaker Lexicon audio system are also available.
• Fuel efficiency: The base turbo-four with 19-inch wheels is rated at 10.5 L/100 km combined, while the twin-turbo V6 is rated at 11.6 L/100 km combined. The Electrified GV70 is rated at 380 km of range.

Which 2024 Genesis GV70 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Genesis GV70 is offered in 6 trim levels: 2.5T Advanced, 2.5T Advanced Plus, 2.5T Prestige, 3.5T Sport, 3.5T Sport Plus, and 3.5T Sport Plus with an electronic limited-slip differential.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T Advanced: This is the entry point, and it gives you the GV70’s core style, technology, and standard AWD without pushing the price too far up. It’s the best-value choice if you want the GV70 experience at the lowest cost.
• 2.5T Advanced Plus: This is the sensible step up if you want more equipment without jumping into the pricier V6 models. It should suit you if you want a better-balanced mix of features and value.
• 2.5T Prestige: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for it. It makes the GV70 feel more luxurious, but it’s not the value pick.
• 3.5T Sport: This trim adds the V6 powertrain and a more performance-oriented character, including large round exhaust outlets. It suits you if straight-line punch matters more than efficiency.
• 3.5T Sport Plus: This is the stronger V6 choice if you want more equipment and a richer feature set. It’s the better pick than the standard Sport if you’re already shopping the V6.
• 3.5T Sport Plus with an electronic limited-slip differential: This is the most specialised gasoline trim, and it’s the one to choose if you want the most capability and the most hardware in the lineup.

The Electrified GV70 is offered separately in a single trim, but it is not part of the standard gasoline trim walk.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Genesis GV70?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 150 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.22% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,961 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Genesis GV70's resale value?

The current average of $48,286 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,043 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests the GV70 is currently more accessible to used buyers than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you may not see the same pricing strength that existed previously, especially if market conditions stay soft.

Even so, the GV70’s distinctive styling, strong technology, and broad appeal in the luxury compact SUV segment should help support demand. Well-equipped examples are likely to remain easier to market than more ordinary rivals.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Genesis GV70 safe?

The 2024 Genesis GV70 earns the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick+ award.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, parking assist sensors, and Highway Driving Assist. Highway Driving Assist 2 is available as an upgrade and adds automated lane-change capability plus blind-spot monitoring.

One caveat is that complete 2024 NHTSA ratings were not available at the time of publication. The agency did publish four-star frontal and rollover crash-test ratings for gasoline 2024 GV70 models.

Should I buy a 2024 Genesis GV70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 stands out for its distinctive styling, impressive technology, and well-executed electric variant.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,072 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $48,286 CAD average.
• It offers a premium feel with a modern powertrain choice.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version with strong tech, style, and a broad appeal, the 2024 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter path for price-sensitive buyers.
