Is the 2024 GMC Sierra 3500HD a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 GMC Sierra 3500HD, and it fits a heavy-duty pickup that blends serious work capability with a more polished feel than many trucks in its class. The overview also points to a wide range of cab, bed, and rear-axle configurations, plus substantial towing and hauling figures when properly equipped, so you can tailor it to commercial use or a more upscale heavy-duty setup. Is the 2024 GMC Sierra 3500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a truck built around serious capability, useful towing technology, and a more luxurious upper end than many buyers expect from a one-ton workhorse. This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

What is the 2024 GMC Sierra 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $82,519 CAD sits slightly below last year's $82,673 CAD.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you plan to sell later because it points to predictable pricing rather than sharp depreciation swings. The truck’s broad appeal across work-focused and upscale buyers should also help keep demand steady. If you buy well and keep the truck in strong condition, you should have a reasonable path to resale value retention.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 30% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing stability, buyer satisfaction, and updated equipment, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2024 gives you a solid balance of value and confidence in today’s market.
