Used 2024 Ford Ranger for Sale nearKelowna, BC

How much does the 2024 Ford Ranger cost?

Prices have softened 12.67% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 131 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 Ford Ranger a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Ford Ranger earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Form and function.

Ford positions this Ranger as a more complete midsize truck, with more power, more technology, more refinement, more space, and more choice than before. That makes it a strong fit if you want a truck that feels capable and versatile rather than stripped-down. The trade-offs are clear: the interior materials feel cheap, and the touchscreen response is sluggish.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 24.4% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 Ford Ranger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Ranger is described as a more capable and better equipped midsize truck than the version it replaces, and the expert review also highlights its quiet cabin and secure, nimble road manners. Its standard 2.3-litre turbo four-cylinder is described as swift and smooth, which supports the impression of a mechanically solid truck for everyday use.

The 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6 is presented as the better choice if you tow regularly, while the Raptor’s more serious hardware is aimed at hard use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright capability and more about living with the cabin quality and tech quirks over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Ford Ranger?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XL is the most basic version, and it does not come with any driver assists. The XLT adds more equipment, while the Lariat brings a more upscale feel with a wider instrument panel, push-button start, and more convenience tech. The Raptor is the most specialised choice, with serious off-road hardware and the most powerful engine.
• Powertrain: You can choose between the standard 2.3-litre turbo inline-four, the optional 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6, and the Raptor’s 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6. The four-cylinder is described as swift and smooth, the V6 is the better towing choice, and the Raptor is the one for true off-road use.
• Safety package: XLT and above trims get standard forward and reverse emergency braking, auto high beams, blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage, front cross-traffic braking, and evasive steering assist. Adaptive cruise control is optional on the XLT and standard on Lariat and Raptor.
• Infotainment: The XL and XLT use a 10-inch portrait touchscreen in Canada, while all other trims get a 12-inch display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, but the menus are slow to load, and BlueCruise handsfree driving assist is not available.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel economy is listed at 11.9 L/100 km city, 9.8 highway, and 11.0 combined with the base four-cylinder, and 12.6 city, 10.2 highway, and 11.5 combined with the V6.

Which 2024 Ford Ranger trim should I buy?

The 2024 Ford Ranger is offered in 4 trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, Raptor.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the value-focused entry point, but it is also the most bare-bones version because it does not include any driver assists. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting point and plan to add very little beyond the basics.
• XLT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the key safety equipment, keeps the truck well equipped, and still avoids the higher cost of the more premium trims. It is the sweet spot if you want the Ranger’s core strengths without overpaying.
• Lariat: This trim is for you if you want a more polished daily driver, with push-button start, a wider instrument panel, automatic parking, trailer reversing assistance, and more premium tech. It suits buyers who care about convenience and a more upscale feel.
• Raptor: This is the one to choose if you want the most serious off-road character, the strongest engine, and the most specialised hardware. It is the clear pick for buyers who want the Ranger’s most extreme capability.

The XLT and above trims get the standard driver-assistance suite, while adaptive cruise control becomes standard on Lariat and Raptor.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Ford Ranger?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 24.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 131 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.67% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,507 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Ford Ranger's resale value?

The current average of $47,507 CAD sits slightly below last year's $54,400 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Ranger has become more approachable for used buyers, which can help keep demand steady if you decide to sell later. A truck that offers multiple powertrain choices, strong capability, and broad appeal tends to stay relevant in the used market. The current price trend also gives future sellers a useful benchmark: if you buy well now, you may have less downside exposure than someone who bought when prices were higher.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Ford Ranger safe?

The 2024 Ranger has not been crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and previous model years tested by NHTSA and IIHS are not comparable.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The base XL trim does not come with any driver assists, but the XLT and above trims have standard forward and reverse emergency braking, auto high beams, blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage, front cross-traffic braking, and evasive steering assist. Adaptive cruise control is optional on the XLT and standard on Lariat and Raptor.

Should I buy a 2024 Ford Ranger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 24.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 Ranger brings more power, more technology, more refinement, more space, and more choice than the version it replaces.

The bottom line: If you want the most complete Ranger of this generation, the 2024 model is the one to target because it adds breadth and capability while staying more approachable than newer, more complex alternatives. If price is your top priority, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2024 is the better all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of equipment, capability, and market value.
