Ford’s BlueCruise system, over-the-air software support, and the ability to add upgrades after purchase all reinforce the sense that ownership can improve over time. What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from the Select and Premium to the GT and Rally. The GT and Rally add Ford Performance front seats, while the Rally also gets unique styling cues, a front recovery hook, a black roof, and rally-specific exterior details. Base trims are more straightforward, so check carefully for the equipment you want.
• Powertrain: The Mach-E uses a rear eMotor update for 2024, and the lineup includes single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive setups. The GT and Rally are AWD-only, and the GT Performance Upgrade raises torque output to 700 lb-ft while keeping 480 horsepower.
• Safety package: Ford CoPilot 360 is standard and includes blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. BlueCruise 1.3 is also available, with lane-change assist, lane-centring, and in-lane positioning.
• Infotainment: You get a 15.5-inch portrait touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and SYNC 4A with over-the-air update capability.
• Range & charging: Natural Resources Canada estimates 402 km of range for the standard-range battery with single-motor rear-wheel drive, while the longest available range is 515 km in Premium trim with the extended-range battery and rear-wheel drive. The standard-range 72-kWh battery can charge from 10 to 80% in 32 minutes on DC fast charging, while the 91-kWh extended-range battery takes about 36 minutes.
• Battery health: As with any used EV, you should check battery state-of-health, ask how the car was typically charged, and confirm how much battery warranty coverage remains. Frequent DC fast charging is worth noting, but regular home charging is usually easier on the battery over time.

Which 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E trim should I buy?

The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E is offered in 4 trim levels: Select, Premium, GT, Rally.

Here's the short version:

• Select: This is the entry point and the best fit if you want the lowest starting price and the core Mach-E experience without paying for the sportier hardware or appearance upgrades.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it offers the longest range in the lineup when configured with the extended-range battery and rear-wheel drive, while keeping the Mach-E’s key tech and comfort features.
• GT: Choose this if you want the sportiest road-focused version, with standard Ford Performance front seats, MagneRide suspension, Brembo front brake calipers, and the option to add the Performance Upgrade later.
• Rally: Pick this if you want the most distinctive trim, with rally-inspired styling, a lift, unique suspension tuning, and the most adventurous character in the lineup.

BlueCruise 1.3 is available on every 2024 Mustang Mach-E, and the Ford CoPilot 360 safety suite is standard across the lineup.

Should I buy a 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Ford adds a new Rally trim and key upgrades across the lineup.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $35,528 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $40,834 CAD average.
• It offers strong everyday usability and a distinctly modern feel.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the latest updates, the Rally trim, and the strongest overall mix of value, tech, and safety. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the better price-sensitive path and still delivers much of the Mach-E’s core appeal.
