What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from the more mainstream trims to the Rally and GT variants, with the Rally adding unique styling cues, a lift, and suspension tuning aimed at road and loose-surface use. The GT brings performance-focused hardware such as Ford Performance front seats, MagneRide damping, and Brembo front brake calipers.
• Powertrain: You’ll want to confirm whether the car has the single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup or the dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration, since output and range vary by version. The GT Performance Upgrade can raise torque output to 700 lb-ft while keeping horsepower unchanged at 480.
• Safety package: BlueCruise 1.3 is available on every 2024 Mustang Mach-E, and Ford CoPilot 360 includes blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a 15.5-inch portrait touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus SYNC 4A and over-the-air update capability.
• Range & charging: The standard-range battery is 72 kWh, and Ford says DC fast charging from 10 to 80% takes 32 minutes for that pack. The extended-range battery is 91 kWh, with a 10-to-80% time of about 36 minutes. Range varies by configuration, with the longest available estimate at 515 km.
• Battery health: As with any used EV, check battery state-of-health, review charging habits, and ask whether the car was mostly charged at home or relied heavily on DC fast charging. Also confirm how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E trim should I buy?

The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E is offered in 4 trim levels: Select, Premium, GT, Rally.

Here's the short version:

• Select: This is the entry point if you want the Mach-E experience at the lowest price, and it still gives you the core styling, tech, and safety foundation. It makes the most sense if you value the model’s overall package more than extra performance hardware.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more range potential and keeps the Mach-E’s everyday usability front and centre. If you want the strongest balance of range, comfort, and features, this is the one to focus on.
• GT: Choose this if you want the sharper performance character, with the firmer sports-car-first tuning, MagneRide damping, Brembo front brakes, and Ford Performance front seats. It suits you best if driving feel matters more than ride softness.
• Rally: This is the most distinctive trim, with unique rally-inspired styling, a lift, and suspension tuning meant to account for off-road use as well as road driving. It’s the one to buy if you want the most character and the most unusual look in the lineup.

BlueCruise 1.3 is available on every trim, and the Ford CoPilot 360 safety suite is standard.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $35,166 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $40,865 CAD average.
• It offers a polished electric crossover feel with strong everyday usability.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date version with the latest trim additions and improvements, the 2024 is the better pick. If your priority is saving money and you still want the Mach-E’s core strengths, the 2023 is the smarter value play.
