The year-over-year increase also indicates that demand has remained healthy enough to support values. If you buy well and keep the truck in strong condition, you may be in a better position when it is time to trade or sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.47% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current market support and owner approval, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby year may be worth a look, but the 2024’s pricing momentum and deal availability make it the cleaner choice for shoppers who want this truck now.
