The truck’s distinctive positioning and performance-oriented identity also help it stand out from more ordinary used pickups. If demand stays steady, sellers may continue to benefit from that recognition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.32% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-market availability, positive owner sentiment, and a model year that still carries strong demand, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you are more price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby years and focusing on the best-priced examples rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
