Is the 2024 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Ford Expedition earns a 5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal for shoppers who want a full-size SUV with three rows of seats, plenty of passenger space, and a smooth ride. It is geared more toward everyday family use than luxury-badge pretence, and its adjustable pedals add a practical touch you can use in daily driving. The model’s long-running technology story also helps, with features such as satellite radio, navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 360-degree cameras, and hands-free driving capabilities available over time. 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Ford Expedition’s appeal comes from its family-focused layout, smooth ride, and useful everyday features rather than from flashy luxury positioning. It is built to serve as a large, practical SUV with plenty of space and modern tech, which is exactly the kind of formula many used buyers want. For long-term ownership, the main risk is that a large, truck-based SUV can bring higher running costs and more wear-related concerns than a smaller vehicle.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 177 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.07% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $64,294 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $64,294 CAD sits slightly below last year's $82,502 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale more dependent on condition, mileage, and equipment. If you buy well now, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to the higher end of the range. Strong demand for a roomy, family-oriented full-size SUV can still help support resale, especially if the vehicle is well maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $88,238 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $64,294 CAD average.
• It brings an all-new, tech-forward cabin and the new Tremor trim.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the better value and are comfortable with a proven full-size SUV formula. Consider the 2025 if you want the newest design, more advanced cabin feel, and are willing to pay a much higher price. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2024 is the smarter path; for shoppers prioritising the latest features, the 2025 is the upgrade to watch.
