CarGurus Analysis: 2024 Dodge Durango
Summary
With 70 currently listed for sale and an average price of $48,527 CAD, 35.7% of 2024 Dodge Durango listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2024 Dodge Durango 4.8 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2024 Dodge Durango stands out because it combines three-row practicality with a distinctly muscular character. In Canada, all-wheel drive has been standard throughout the Durango’s third generation, and the model is known for offering a wide spread of trims and powertrains, from the base Pentastar V6 to 5.7-litre, 6.4-litre, and supercharged 6.2-litre Hemi V8s. That breadth gives the Durango an unusual range of personalities, from family-focused to high-performance, while still keeping the standard seven-passenger layout that many buyers want.
For 2024, the Durango benefits from the 2021 overhaul’s updated infotainment technology with improved touchscreen accessibility, and later-model examples can be equipped with features such as lane departure warning, a backup camera, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Depending on trim, buyers may also find leather or Nappa leather, plus a premium Harman Kardon audio system. Some versions offer second-row captain’s chairs, which reduce seating to six, but the standard arrangement remains the more common seven-seat setup. Owners also tend to appreciate the smooth ride and strong power, though the Durango’s age shows in its fuel economy and in the fact that some buyers may find the feature content uneven for the price.
There are also reasons to shop carefully. The earliest model years of this generation were affected by recalls for brake failure, problematic fuel pumps, and electrical and wiring issues, so inspection history matters. Even so, the 2024 Durango remains appealing to buyers who want a roomy SUV with genuine performance credentials and a broad mix of comfort, convenience, and capability.

Is the 2024 Dodge Durango reliable?
Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to service records and inspection results, because long-term ownership risk is best managed by choosing a well-maintained example.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Dodge Durango?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.
- Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 476 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 13.84% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $48,702 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Dodge Durango's resale value?
The current average of $48,702 CAD sits slightly below last year's $56,525 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Durango easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Well-kept examples should still hold interest because the Durango’s mix of space, performance, and comfort remains distinctive.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2024 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 13.84% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2023 if:
- At $42,526 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $48,702 CAD average.
- It adds standard heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.
Consider the 2025 if:
- At $50,034 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $48,702 CAD average.
- It keeps the modern infotainment system while leaning into a final-year lineup.
The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want the current-year balance of price, satisfaction, and shopping flexibility. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the smarter value play, especially if its equipment set meets your needs.
