Used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearBarrie, ON

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 11.06% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 171 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Traverse’s appeal starts with its larger, more distinctive design and its added space for passengers, especially in the third row. It also brings more standard driver aids and a much larger touchscreen, which makes it a strong fit if you want a family-focused three-row SUV with a modern cabin.

The main trade-offs are that the base LS trim is a little too basic and the range-topping RS trim is pricey. It also still feels its size, so you should expect a substantial vehicle rather than something especially nimble.

With 28.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Traverse is presented as a more complete and better-equipped version of the model, with more standard driver aids, a modernised cabin, and a stronger overall package than before. Its turbocharged four-cylinder also brings more power and torque than the outgoing V6, while the stop-and-start system is described as seamless in operation.

Chevrolet also includes a wide range of standard driver aids, which can reduce day-to-day stress and help support confidence over time. If you want a used three-row SUV that feels thoroughly updated, this model year looks like a solid ownership bet.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT is the starting point, while the Z71 adds a more rugged look and moderate off-road intent, and the RS is the top trim with nearly every available feature. The base trim is described as a little too basic, so you should pay close attention to whether the equipment level matches your needs.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, replacing the previous V6. All-wheel drive is standard in Canada, and the Z71 uses a dual-clutch system that can send torque to the rear wheel with the most grip.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera. There are no trim-level safety gaps noted.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 17.7-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google-based software, and over-the-air capability through the connected system. Super Cruise is also offered.
• Fuel efficiency: Official Natural Resources Canada estimates are 12.4 L/100 km in the city, 9.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Z71, RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the entry point, but the content suggests it may feel a bit too basic if you want a more polished family SUV. It makes sense if you want the Traverse’s core space and tech without stretching too far on price.
• Z71: This is the best-value choice if you want the more rugged character and the added capability focus. It adds the all-new off-road-oriented flavour without pretending to be a hardcore trail rig.
• RS: This is the most fully loaded version, but it is also the priciest. Choose it if you want the most feature-rich Traverse and are comfortable paying for it.

The safety package is standard across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver aids.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 171 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $48,078 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $48,512 CAD sits slightly below last year's $54,543 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests the market has adjusted downward, which can make the Traverse more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, that means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice rather than on broad market momentum alone.

The good news is that the model’s stronger equipment, updated cabin, and improved appeal should help it stay relevant with family shoppers. If demand remains steady for well-equipped three-row SUVs, cleaner examples should continue to draw attention.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2024 Traverse had not undergone crash tests from NHTSA or IIHS at the time of the test drive.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera. Super Cruise is also offered, adding a hands-free driving aid for mapped roads.

Because official crash-test results were not available in the source material, you should focus on the breadth of standard driver aids and the availability of Super Cruise when comparing used examples.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings a redesigned look, more standard driver aids, and a much larger touchscreen.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $52,768 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $48,512 CAD average.
• It adds standard trailering equipment.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with the major redesign benefits. If towing convenience matters more than saving money, the 2025 is worth a look, but price-sensitive buyers should start with the 2024.
